That's how my CRS diagnosed my fissure. I had explained all of my symptoms, he did the digital exam, pressed on the place where fissures are usually located, and when I screamed, he knew that I had one. I had been seeing this doctor for many years in the treatment of internal hemmies (which were banded), and I have stage three hemmies as well.
I can understand that having to wait for the hemorrhoid surgery now would be very upsetting, so I'm sorry that this has happened to you. Hopefully, your fissure will heal quickly though, and you can get back on track for your hemorrhoidectomy.
