That's what I'm hoping the LIS will help with the straining side of things because that's really not helping my fissure! I don't get constipated any more I seem to get diarrhoea but still with the straining

Ya same here. I might take it easy on the softners if you're more on the d side of things - I find that too soft hurts more than helps and that a formed but soft stool is easier to pass...maybe that's not true of everyone but definitely for me!

I find that it burns more but my ibs doesn't give me a balance so I can't seem to have a normal formed soft stool anymore I always coat in Vaseline and it helps quite a bit

Becka456 - my surgery will be on the 4th - so we are just nearly LIS twins!

How are you feeling lately?

Oh no Becka
So very sorry for you Hun. I lost my dad a few years ago now and it's an awful thing to have to face. I don't know you well. But what I do know is he must have been a kind and caring man to have raised a daughter with such compassion and strength. I'm not going to say it gets easier Hun but they walk with us through each day as we keep their memories alive inside of us. The dad and daughter bond is such a special one nothing can break it xx
I would move the surgery the last thing you want is to feel uncomfortable on that sad day. Even if you have a lovely smooth LIS 4 days from surgery you will still be feeling quite sore
But on the other hand if you did keep it on the 6th then there is no way your mind will be on your butt
I will be thinking of you Hun do what you feel is best for you and your family and I'm hear and on Facebook if you ever need a listening ear
Big hugs huni x

I'm so sorry - I second what mypoorbutt says. Praying for you and your family. As mpb says, always here to listen if ever you want to talk.

Thank you MPB that's a lovely message, I think I'm still in shock to be honest as he wasn't poorly at all it was just so unexpected and sudden it's hard to get my head round it :( I really want my surgery out of the way but I'm worried incase recovery doesn't go smoothly so I guess it would be more sensible for me to wait and get another date xx
