So are most of you normal bms painless these days? Did the surgeon not burn or cut out the old scar tissue from the fissure it's self? Can it heal after so many years of scar tissue build up?

I always make sure they are soft that's the main thing, I have had Botox twice and scraping the scar fissure twice before so when I had the LIS there wasn't any scar tissue to scrape but if there was he would of done that too

Yes if they think you have lots then defenitly as it won't be able to heal, for me so far I'm glad I have had the LIS as I knew it wasn't going to ever heal after nearly 3 years

Mine goes away completely even the skin tag and I get my life back for a few weeks I've even had it gone for 5 months while I was pregnant. That makes me think maybe I can heal it by myself forever apart from the fact that it's probably come back due to the scar tissue being a very weak spot. Have you heard of people healing it like this then it coming back?

Yes Hun it happens to quite a few people could you go for the resting pressure test then at least you would know whether a tighter than average Internal sphincter could be the cause in which case Botox or LIS will help.

I'll have to inquire when I get to see the general surgeon or specialist after I've asked my doctor at my appointment in a few days to refer me. Could be a few months till I get seen I mite ring a few private crs tomorrow an ask if they check that an how much that test costs. If it's normal would I still need the surgery after all there is still more the 3 years of scar tissue which I've always thought the problem was? An if 5 months healing wasn't enough I don't think botox would be enough?

Some CRS's won't give LIS to people who have a normal resting pressure as it's not forced to help. If your paying though then they probably will lol
I'm not sure if they may offer Botox and a fissurectomy instead perhaps
