...but if you still experiencing sharp pains before and during bowel movements, does this mean the fissure is not healing?

Probably. What is your treatment status? Hae you had surgery yet?

Assuming you have not had surgery you can go read my tips here or many of thenother ones out there.

Prunes, Ground Flaxseed, all fruits will help.
