Sean530 I think we have all at one point been where you are from these fissures, talk to your doctor and see a Colorectal specialist eat super clean an drink more water try deep breathing to relax it can be so overwhelming if you let it get to you I still have bad days but nothing like I use to and I've had my fissure for 5.5 years not nice at all go onto YouTube find some pain and healing meditations they really help me good luck your NOT alone x

No GPs were i live guys and i have been to 4 good surgeons, 2 of the best gastroenterolgists, 2 radiologists and 3 dermatologists. I dont know whats wrong with me and neither do these guys. I was feeling better somewhat, but yesterday i had a retear and it felt like i was back in Oct 18, when this all started, only now i got no more meds to try and no more doctors to meet! Its terrifying and i have started having, what i now know are, panic attacks. What if this is my life from now on? At times i felt like hey, i mean i can always kill myself if this doesnt work out which i know is very messed up but surprisingly comforting. no i wont ever do it guys dont worry. I dont even know when i started thinking like this. And no there are no good psychiatrits where i live. I went to one who was supposedly the best but man he was a dissapointment

Sean, never lose hope my friend. God will help us and we will be able to live a beautiful life even if sometimes we might get sidetracked. Keep trying to have soft stools and you will get better, I promise.

And thank you to the owner of this site. Bless you sir/ma'am.
Now the problem with me is this; I have been on movicol for the past 4 or 5 months. I take one sachet every night. this makes the stool soft and pass without diff but causes a lot of burning both inside and outside and not the fissure kind of it, If i take less mov, no burning but the stool hardens and doesnt burn but casues retear. Cant use GTN. So please any advice or help appreciated

Please do not worry Sean, people on this forum are kind and understanding bar none so far I've found. It is a lifesaver.
Ok - so maybe the movicol does not agree with your system. So there has to be another stool softener to try. I am not an expert so maybe put a message out on this site to get ideas.
What about natural foods - prunes and the like. My husbands makes a smoothie every day for both of us with linseed in it and fruit and I've been finding this makes a big difference to me. Have you tried coconut oil inside to help lubricate and soothe before a BM? Or just use several times a day. Trouble is everyone is different - what makes one person have soft BM does not help another. Also I have an underactive thyroid which I think causes my constipation - is it worth getting some blood work done to check you have no underlying causes for hard BM - just to rule them out I mean, I'm sure you are fine!

Does anyone know if a repeated Botox treatment should be done within a certain time frame of a first dose of Botox I have my second dose of Botox due in 2 weeks but it's been a year since my first dose of Botox does that make the second dose less effective?

Sean530 Ihave the same issue, 7 mo post lis. Fissure feels healed but burn in the evenings. I just started Metamucil 1/2 Tspn breakfast and 1 Tsp lunch this has changed dramatically. It does bulk but the bulk feels better than a hard bm and I believe it is soaking up extra water in stool so no leakage. I believe the very faint leakage (polyethylene glycol) was what’s burning for me. Hope this helps you too.
