The big BMs the repeated tearing , the pain. I have put more different creams on my butt and thought of my butt all day for like 2 months than ever before...
Am I having fun yet?!

Hi ayurveda,

Cycle of woe for me! I had two bowel motions today first one was fine second one stung a bit and when I wiped I saw the tiny line of blood and so when I got home from work I found my old diltiazem and applied that, it stung like a bitch!!!

Never ending story right?

Hi all. I have been drinking a small glass of prune juice per day-about 8 ounces-and find that is helpful to keep my stools soft. I eat not too much fiber, just a healthy nutritious diet. I've taken out cheese, bread, nuts, baked goods and sweets. Which I found very constipating. I do eat a little sweets like a cookie per day or something like that. But nothing else that might constipate me.
Of course I drink about 8-10 glasses of water or herbal tea or hot water with lemon per day.
I soak as soon as I can after every bowel movement in warm-hot water.
With taking prune juice 1 small glass is enough to keep things smoothly moving.
My goal for the last month has been to soften the stool to the texture of toothpaste, and to reduce pain.
Soaking twice a day helps to reduce pain, plus walking , plus whatever soothing cream you are using!
I'm still working at my goal. Perhaps the fissure will heal, perhaps not. Meanwhile I'm doing everything I can to improve my overall health, to eat nutrious foods, drink liquids, and soak! And prune juice for me to keep the BM SOFT!

I second the prune juice effectiveness! I'm still doing a half cap of Miralax but the prune juice is the reason I'm able to wean off it slowly.

Hello all!

another set back, attempted dilatation last night felt a pinch and im back to pain passing stool with an ache for hours after - I'm sure it's the scar tissue at 11pm position - I've applied the last of my nifedipine that normally does the trick. I'm sorry to be so brash but I'm so sick and tired of having butt problems after all these years!!! It's held me back from jobs, relationships and being social. 6 years of my life!!! 4 surgeries or so, endless creams lotions and potions, so much spent, and still my problems linger in the background. Just when I'm doing so well and feeling better WHAM here's another week of pain. Sorry for moaning but I'm ill anyway, and now sitting on a hot bottle to sooth the spasms with nifedipine up my bum. This is meant to be my week of annual leave and I feel ancient!!

I could do with a hug

Chacha I’ve had Botox twice and then two scrapings and a wedge excision. I’m now in bed, posted in the general forum too I’m just so depressed thank god I had some nifedipine cream left. I keep feeling the area to see if it hurts less stupidly, I’m so impatient but I’m angry I’ve hurt the same spot again! I loved my surgeon but feel the wedge of tissue he removed made it all worse for healing, like I’ve got no padding on the anterior section so it keeps ripping under high tension
