I think the fissure healing is going well.
Only minimal pain during bowel movements but unfortunately I now have a thrombosed external hemerhoid on my anus as of yesterday. I've started applying diltiazem on the hemerhoid along with my fissure treatment. I hope I can get rid of it.
March 2022 Suffered anal fissure.

April-May 2022 Went undiagnosed because GP couldn't see the fissure.

June 1st 2022 Officially diagnosed with fissure by GI and given nefedapine.

July 2022 Botox injection under anesthesia

It's always something isn't it?! It's at least good to hear your fissure healing is moving along nicely which is more important. Keep in mind these ointments sometimes can develop skin reactions in the form of lumps, pimples, bumps, etc , confused with piles. I believe it happened to me a couple times. I stopped using ointments a while ago. On the flip side, I haven't been able to resolve my tightness in the absence of ointments! So let's call it a shitty trade off situation!!

I had a regular hemerhoid before and 5 days of Diltiazem got rid of it. This was after weeks of OTCs like Prep H and Recticare did not work. Nurse at my CRS said to only use diltiazem on the Hemerhoid which I'm already doing for the fissure anyway. Well see how it goes.

I'm basically grabbing at straws here trying to help you but have you looked into pelvic floor physical therapy? I don't know if that could help.

I'll consider that, just waiting for my appointment with the CRS in a couple weeks, will discuss all options with him. I've read about pelvic floor dysfunction, idiopathic prostitis
etc., affecting men, nasty stuff with no known cause. Things that we just have to live with it. This thing has totally made me depressed. I'm tired of it. The more you google the more it messes with your mind. I've stopped googling and just come here to chat! The reality is no matter what the cause is, I've been living with this partial disability since January! I have to accept it, suck it up and move on!

Guys I have some bad news to report. Yesterday I was diagnosed with pelvic disfunction. If and when the fissure ever heals I may have to go through months of physical therapy. Sitting is causing me excruciating pain right now. I am having suicidal thoughts daily and I am basically live like a robot mindlessly going through life with no joy. My only reprieve is sleeping.

Dust 2 Dust so sorry to hear that. I think no one better than us can relate to these issues and understand the level of frustration. Hang in there, enjoy the positive side of your life fully, and hopefully things are going to change for good. I too have terrible feelings. My pain gradually increases with sitting and build up until I go to bed. Now that you have a diagnosis, focus on physical and mental therapy and your diet. My frustrations caused me give up everything since a couple of months ago, I don't control my diet, I again smoke after quiting it for 3 years, and I see how it's ruining my life. It's like shooting myself on the foot! We have to face the reality and focus on our diet, physical and mental health. That's all matters. Talk to you soon!

Thank you Fred. You are very kind. At this point I'm just living for others who depend on me and surviving on my own stubborn will. My GP is getting me a referral to a pelvic floor therapist. I feel like I've derailed the thread with all my posts.

How have you been Tex?

You certainly have too much to fight for. Life is not worth losing it! Hang in there.
I'm the same as before. Continouse butt pain, can't sit too long, can't walk too long, a pain in the ass affecting all my life! Still dumbfounded how this bizzar thing collapsed on me out of no where ruining my life!
Anywaya, will have an appointment in a week to see if I can finally find what the problem is.
Wouldn't you mind if I asked how you're diagnosed? Any certain test they performed on you?
