How is it going, tomorrow is the my surgery. Really hoping it goes smoothly, not looking forward to the next week though. Knowing what you went through, would you do it again?

Honestly even tho I have some discomfort now still it is so much better than the fissure pain I had. I would definitely do it again. I've been in my office this week and at a youth club I work at tonight and managed ok altho I'm pacing myself and going a bit slow. Hope that it works out for u all the best xx

What is the discomfort like? Is it all the time or just after a bowel movement? I don’t pain from the fissure much, but do have blood from time to time from it. I can def feel some pain when I have a bowel movement.

Just got out of surgery, so everything is numb. I actually had two fissures that they fixed, so hopefully that goes smoothly. Did you bleed for days? They told me to use a pad, really hope that only lasts a few days. Gave me some pain pills, and cream to use, gotta get that stuff at the pharmacy. Didn’t recommend stool softeners, but guessing it’s a good idea. Do you take all three, Metamucil, stool softeners, and Miralax?

Did you ice? That’s one of the things they said to do, also to drink ensure max to get more protein. Def wish I could fast forward a few weeks.

Did you have to use a panty liner? Do you still have to use them? The paid today is not much, but I think it’s bc I haven’t had a BM yet. Going to have milk of magnesium tonight if nothing happens..
