sunshine,
this is a lovely book and a lovely alternative to the high sugar, eggs, dairy stuff that we find in most desserts.....
http://www.amazon.com/Love-Eric-Delicious-Macrobiotic-Desserts/dp/097729370X
it's Love, Eric and it's a macrobiotic dessert book with amazing recipes from cookies to cobblers...my favorite is the peach cobbler like dessert in there. it is delicious. i am sure you can make apple cobbler or any kind after making that a few times.

Happyass, have you taken down a count of your caloric intake each day? If your ideal weight is 170 lbs, then you really need only about 1870 calories, and I am sure you realize that calories really count more than evercise when it comes to losing or maintaining weight.
I counted my calories recent and even though I take in about 2000 a day, I manage somehow to hover right at 160 lbs. Which I like.
Your SO must simply have a higher metabolic rate than oyu, and your meds probably have an affect of your weight too, pal!
Don't worry, Happy! You still got it goin' on! :oyooy:
I'm a dark chocolate fiend and get some every day with my protein bar.
Wow, Tabby you taught me something -- I never knew that dark chocolate has iron in it!
Corsi, I think anything in moderation, sweets, dark chocolate or even Norwegian junk food (you'd have to tell me what that would be!) is probably OK. The problem is when the wrong foods compromise a regular part of the diet especially to the exclusion of fiber-rich foods. Just my take.

Hey,
If you like muffins, then you should try Fiber Ones apple cinnamon muffins. The only dairy in them is eggs, and they are super easy to make. Yummy too!
