LARS - Image - you were TOTALY pain free - can you hear yourself Image Concentrate on that - it only shows that it is TOTALY possible and that it will TOTALY happen for longer periods of time and next year you will probably be playing your soccer games

Thanks Fissy
Your are so kind and always answer me the best possible way.
Yes there have been periods where I have been TOTALY pain and discomfort free after LIS but not often... I am now 4,5 weeks out from the surgery and still having alot of problems. :(
If I had inflammation in the fissure shouldn`t the pain have been more constant and more spesific? Now I maybe feel burning one day, soreness the other day and maybe itching and soreness the other?
I am wondering if it could be inflammed since sometimes my anus feel very warm and the fissure is NOT healed(I can sometimes feel the fissure(like now for example) and see blood inside when I look down there....

when we have most surgeries, the wounds are kept sterile and not stretched about at all, but imagine the daily onslaught our poor wounded butts get every day - sometimes maybe 3 or 4 times a day!! Its no wonder they take ages to heal! If you feel unwell at all, or think there is some kind of infection, then dont delay in seeing a doctor, but otherwise I would say its all entirely normal and expected.
Hang in there, you will get better soon!

Lars - buddy Image Don't be down again - I think that it is even better that your symptoms are not consistent in nature ! It just shows that things are adjusting down there the best way they can . When poop is loose it burns, when harder it hurts , and sometimes butts act up "just because" Image They are notorious with needing time to heal Image - it is just the fact and we can do little about it . We just need to give them the optimal conditions so they can do that in record time (diet, soaks, creams, LIS , etc. ) and than we just need to be endlessly patient Image .
You already had infection one time in your life and you know how it looks like , so I doubt you have it now. And yes, fissure is most likely still there - needs 8 weeks to close in the best case scenario and 7 months for somebody like Buttgirl. When fissure is there, inflammation is there - no way around it. Hey - but I can bet you did not try camomile and white oak compresses to calm it down LOL - you can even cool them in the fridge and put them on for immediate relief Image - not a big hustle, believe me and did sooooo much good for me Image If you are lazy during the day - you can plop one between your cheeks over night - how about that ??? Image
Once fissure closes completely all will calm down - just give it time buddy - OK ? :) 4.5 weeks seems like eternity, but really - it is JUST 4 weeks "in fissure time" Image Image Image
All the best Lars - try to go out and have some fun when you can, so time will fly faster Image

Thanks Fissy. You are great :)
Today I cried for the first time while I have had this fissure. But it was happy tears. I am having the second painless day in a row :) I am so happy you can`t even tell :) I hope it finally is over...
Just one thing.. I have bleed a lot the last couple of days.. It is like when I first got the fissure. Then I also bleed alot but pain was not present...
Hell I say it started with a lot of blood and it ends with a lot of blood :)

That is great news! Congratulations. Even if you were to have a a bad day after this just think back on how great you felt and that you will get there again.
