I take tramadol from time to time and don't find it too constipating like narcotics so that should be fine. Can you try some prune juice? That really works in a pinch.

I think it will take some time to have a bm after general anesthesia but I would think you should have gone by now. Do you feel any rumbling in your tummy at all like things are starting to move??

That's a good sign though. That means your digestion is starting. Should't be long now!

Good luck, Dazzy. Maybe like Tootie suggested, try some prune juice! I always was having to drink that as a child for const issue. I love your pictures of Scotland. Hope you have a bm soon.

Dazzy,
My mother was always giving me enemas as a child. And if not that, prune juice, or MOM! I had an enema at Mayos last Aug when I was still recovering from the fissure, and it really wasn't that bad. I think the nurse used water to make it easier. Good luck! You need to get more regular!! That would avoid you having to have enemas!! I had to have an enema to get "cleaned out" for a test.
