Hi Vixxy,
You really need to see a specialist (colo-rectal surgeon). They specialize in butt problems and fissures and will be able to offer you options to heal/ manage your fissure.
I really can't stress to folks enough the importance of finding a CRS. GP's are usually clueless about how to treat fissures and commonly prescribe ointments for hems.

Hello vixxy welcome to the forum, i can only imagine how hard it must be for you to go through the pain for one year, i have only been at it for a month and i can't take it anymore and trying to schedule a surgery as soon as possible. Speak with a CRS, if creams and gels aren't working you might want try some other form of treatment which i am sure the forum members will happily explain to you. The forum is very informative and it helped me a lot in the past couple of days. Hope you get well soon.

Vixxy I'm so sorry you are suffering! You've come to the right place. Many of us have been where you are or are where you are now, so you're not alone.
I agree with Dawn and Ink - see a CRS as soon as you can. This is the person who will help you heal your fissure, either with the PROPER oitments for fissures (NOT ointment for hemorrhoids, which so many GPs presribe!) or with surgery. The ointments a CRS will likely recommend are nitro or calcium channel blockers. These can heal a fissure if it's caught early. You will also be able to talk with a CRS about botox or a lateral internal sphincterotomy. I'm so surprised that so few GPs actually know anything about how to properly treat fissure. A CRS is your best option.
I hope you find relief soon!
