I don't know why some docs keep spreading this 'poop' about LIS causing incontinence in women. It's only a tiny bit more of a rare possibility. All they have to do is check your sphincter muscle and see if it is working well, aka strong enough. At least that's what my second opinion crs said. There are plenty of ladies on this forum who have had it done, and are glad they did.
I'm not one of them, but I just want to reassure you that some docs seem to be looking at old statistics or something... They are talking about LIS aren't they?
Did the lump go away?
What did they say the botox pain was from? Was it from the lump?
Can't you call your doc and ask about cancellations you could fill? I find here in Canada, if you call once a week it's not enough to get on their nerves, but enough to let them know just how desperate you are feeling.
the 'sqeaky wheel gets all the oil' theory in action.
You could look up 'self dilation' here and see what you think of that. It isn't something we particularly like doing, but it seems to help everyone who tries it. Only takes 10 min a day. The hard part for me really, is finding the privacy to do it.
another thing that helps is an electric heating pad. Can you take one to work and sit on it in breaks?
You might also try some aloe gel. maybe do a search her about that too.
Hope something changes for the better for you soon Gypsy!
