LIS in-office

Postby thisunpleasant » 12 Aug 2013, 22:43

Hello,
I have had 2 botox treatments with the same CRS and it's been a year since developing the fissure. The CRS says he does LIS in his office with some local anaesthesia, and it's a quick procedure. Has anyone else had it done in their doctor's office? I was expecting more of a big production in a hospital...
Thanks in advance.

Hi, I've never heard of that. Even so I'm not sure I would want to have it done in a doctors office. While it's a relatively simple procedure I would be concerned if there was a problem what would happen. In a hospital setting they are more prepared. What if your doctor finds you need a fissurectomy along with the LIS. This is a decision that you have to make so take your time and think about it a bit. Whatever you decide I wish you a speedy recovery. Suzy
