Amy,
I just want to say welcome. Image I also have weak pelvic floor muscles and am going to go back to Mayos for pelvic floor retraining in a few months. I have not had LIS, but used the Diltiazem ointment to heal my fissure. Sorry to hear you are having a problem, but you found the right place to get support and lots of good advice from many who have been or are in similar situations. Could you go to Mayos for the anal rectal manometry test that I had? That is how my pelvic floor dysfunction was diagnosed.

Hi Amy,

I have similar problems to which you describe. I too have pelvic pain-rectal and vulvadynia. It does make having bm's difficult and talk about snafus during menustration. It is horrible because the spasming of the uterus causes my rectum to clench and I can either feel constipated or have a real strong urgency to go without much warning.

There are several members on here who have had to go the route of two LIS surgeries. Sometimes the first cut isn't deep enough and though it helps, it may need to be repeated.

Have you had children? Do you have any other history that could be contributing to this? How did you get your AF?

Welcome to our forum-I hope we can be of some help here.

Image Hi Amy and welcome to fissure haven !
Really sorry to hear of your long suffering, such a long time for you to have to deal with butt troubles and pelvic dysfunction Image
Do you have spasms now after these setbacks ? tightness ? pain ? bleeding ? – was it just like the old days ?
Is it possible for you to go back to the CRS who performed the first LIS ?
