i'm not sure about nitro or diltiazem...i forgot to ask but i see the dr again in 2 weeks so i will then. since i've had 2 LIS already i'm hoping tight sphincter isn't my problem.... i'm probably just weak in that area now
i know the drinking/dehydration caused this one, so i'm steering far clear of that for the rest of my life!

I feel that my LIS did the trick, and the tight sphincter isnt the problem any more, but my CRS told me to use nitro, and I use it at the first hint of a retear now, and it always heals it up quite quickly. Its worth a try!I have a couple of boxes of it if you need to try it in a hurry?

I agree with Val, it must be us having abnormal butts more than us doing something wrong. Don't blame yourself Juney, that doesn't help you Image
How are you able to work??
I feel sorry for you sweetie Image

yah i'm working corsi. i got a job in january and i'm glad i did since the economy is so tough right now!
it actually helps take my mind off my self-pity and butt pain. i can't just sit home and cry all day like i used to. but i sit at a desk all day, so that sucks. i use Aleve to deal with the after BM pain til it fades away by mid-afternoon. when i'm sitting still it doesn't hurt most days, but as soon as i shift positions or stand up i feel it again. walking has been uncomfortable too (since the most recent tear).
i forget which person asked about colostomy bag...i've thought that but never seriously. it seems so extreme for something like this even though i'd love to not have to poo!! i'm still hoping one day i'll heal so i want to be prepared for that day :)

i called the dr today for the pap smear results. it was negative for everything they tested, so no answers there. still having the same pain all day after BM, then dies down by evening. it's the same as it's always been for the last 3 years. it's impossible to stay positive.

i literally feel like my head is gonna explode from the frustration of this all.

Juney,
Is that you in the chaise lounge? Do you think you could have proctitis? I picked up some literature about that at last Saturday's Crohn's conference, but haven't read it.
I decided what is difficult about butt issues--we all feel tense about it because we need to use that area of our body that is stressed/painful daily, and to keep everything AOK every day is difficult for anyone. Most people don't have the same type of bm each day, so it can become a vicious cycle for many people, and then we can get depressed which does not help one bit with our healing. Sometimes it is difficult to remain positive. I'll share your story with my friend Dwight and have him start praying for you. It can't hurt. Are you still taking an A/D?
