Hello to pain

Postby busymommy » 12 Jan 2013, 19:46

I am New to the world of AF' s....I started having painful BMs and bleeding about 2.5 weeks ago. I talked to my GP about it and she said they were genomes so we tried treating with all the over the counter products...of course none if these helped...I did notice that once I started using them my son (who is 8weeks old and breastfeeding) stopped pooping. So I had to stop using them. After suffering in silence I finally got tired of crying and screaming during BM s and called my doc back. She sent me to the surgeon. After a short discussion and an exam he said I had an AF and was going to do surgery the next morning. Well today is the day after and I am better but still having pain. Is it normal still feel like the poop is too big to come out and still be very painful? the pain is not as bad but still enough to make you tear up....help!!!!

Wow... What a lot you have had to cope with.. A new baby too!
By all accounts (I have not yet had surgery myself) it will be sore and swollen for your first bm.. But things do get better I promise!
If you get a few minutes read through some back posts to get some info.
Wishing you a speedy recovery
