Thanks PIA! That is true,if I think about how much burning and pain I was in, this is definitely better! Day 21 update
I am using the Vaseline prior to BM then straight into Sitz Bath. No real pain on BM. Sitz bath seems to help loads. I will try the coconut oil again PIA. Having good days. Just the grape is bothering me! It swells every time I poop. Image
I have also been getting lots of gas! It almost feels like I could poop myself! Yuck! Anyone else had this with Botox?! Image

Rachael, where did you get your sitz bath from??
Why don't you give your crs's secretary a call and ask what you can use for your " grape!"
Sounds like you are still going in the right direction.

Hi OMB, I ordered it from Amazon. It really helps, especially if i need to have a Sitz in the day, and i don't want to get into a bath. I think i might just do that!
I am comfy today. BM was good, no pain. I am drying the area with my hairdrier, i find it is better if the area is dry. The nurse also told me to keep it dry.
Please let me kill these monsters.... Image

Hi Rachael, :)
Just stumbled across your Botox and Hem diary!
Did those little banded blighters drop off just yet??!
Sadly Image Recovery from a fissure is a rollercoaster ride and even if you're getting the bad days, hopefully they'll be counteracted by some good ones too. Overall, sounds like you are actually doing great!! and yes - never forgot that excrutiating pain you originally went through....it really helps puts your current situation into perspective.
What's with the grape? Is that the external pile that's still bothering you or a Sentinel pile from the fissure?......
Hopefully as things calm down for you, they will too....
Keep fighting the monsters! Image
& from what I've read, wind can be a side-effect of the Botox!!
You hang in there girl!!!! You sound like you are doing great!

Hello! Ever the Optimist! No I haven't actually seen the Hems drop off! I am a bit worried! Last time I bled a lot when they did! Maybe they have but I haven't noticed!??
Image I am doing good today, it is 24 days since I had it done. No pain on BM, and comfy. Knock on lots of wood!!
I will keep going, I wanna kill these damn fissures. The FODMAP diet is going well. I am praying to god that when I wake up each day it will be a good day! X Image

Oh yes, the external hem is a pain! I just hope it isn't hindering any healing as it is situated either side of both fissures. Image

Hi Rachael,
Also hoping that you are still having lots of good days!! Your recovery sounds really great though. Image
The external hem won't be hindering the healing process for you just causing you additional aggravation!
I had one pop out after my last EUA but with careful toilet habits, i.e. NO straining and some anusol, it went after a few days and has not yet made a reappearance, so fingers crossed on that one for you!!
Hems also HATE exercise - so if you can get out and about and walk just a while that will also help you too.......
Bit of a mystery about the others eh??? but hope the banding has helped and the pain now much relieved....
Keep updating! & keep recovering! :)

Day 26 update.
Thank you Ever the Optimist! Yes it is a beggar, because I haven't seen the little blighters drop out, I am hoping they aren't still there! Although don't think they could escape being strangled by those bands! Image
I am doing okay, no pain on BM, the size of BM is good, not too big but softer. The real problem is the external hem, it seems to have gotten bigger and sore! When I touch it, it is very tender and seems harder. Not sure if I need to get something now to put on it.
These constant butt problems are such a pain! I am determined to keep going though! Full Arsenal ahead. Image Image

I didn't see or notice my banded hems when they fell off... They probably have already.
Try some anusol with hydrocortisone on that troublesome hem. Only use it for a week though. It made a real difference to mine when I hade a flare up.

Thank you OMB! That has reassured me! I was trying to go without using anything as the CRS said it should settle, but as it is getting worse I will get some Anusol. I was looking on the net lastnight at Hemoclin. Have you used it?! I thought I saw a post where you said you had ordered some?! Does the Anusol thin the skin?!
