Lecia , my sweet Sis, did you see :( ??? Why I have such a bad luck with CRSs is beyond me Image - he looked so competent and did that colonoscopy so skillfully and even made that photo of my fissure Image.Where did things went wrong this time around and why , I have no idea :( . I wish so much I did not do a thing but as my GP said - nobody has a "crystal ball" and that I should not beat myself and should look forward and all might end up well, after all (...sigh...). Yes, it meant a lot to have her on my side - whole day I repeated things she said and it gave me comfort. Now is 11 pm, and I hope I will not poop one more time , although this is my "regular time" .
It is all so maddening buddy - I went to get rid of tags and ended up with 7 procedures and one new tag forming where fisurrectomy was done and one not healing Image But, the biggest pain is coming from 6 o'clock location and I am sure that there is a fissure inside Image Image Image . The only good new development today is that Nitro started working so my sphincter relaxed somewhat on two occasions - I almost cried when I felt it, it was lasting for 30 min or so , but still, was a tiny step forward  .
How are you doing buddy Image :sprinkleheart: :bouncing - heart , any new results back in yet ? Are you eating some protein ? Hope pain is under good control and that Molly is giving you many happy moments Image !!!

:( :( :( Fissy,
you poor thing I cant believe he messed up Image Image Image he seemed so nice and so competent. I assumed he would have stitched the wound- i had stitches and thought everyone did. What is he, mad???Image Image Image

Why oh why do these surgeons keep being allowed to mess up. Mayos is the best, right? Thank god you have a lovely GP who can refer you there.
I'm so heartbroken you're going through all this. Glad the nitro is working a little for you. I think once it starts to feel better that is such a breakthrough. And great you have valium!
I hope you're feeling a bit better today

Dearest Fiss Image
I am glad your GP was sympathic and handed over the valuim !!
You sure do have time to heal chick…do not write yourself off just yet !
When you see laser guy on Monday maybe you could suggest that he pops in a stitch or two if you feel this 6oclock tag is not healing together as it should, he will be checking his work and he will know ! I am sure you will tell him your concerns, you must… this is all still very early days for you and healing these cuts, not just the one LIS ! Like Lecia said ideally you shouldn’t need to have anymore procedures done it should just be a matter of them healing now Image Image Image Image Image Image Image Image Image Image Image Image Image Image Image Image Image Image
Please do not be so hard on yourself you trusted this guy for a reason and try to hold on that…Please Image
I hope the valuim and nitro helps with the spasms that would be a good start just now !
Sending you lots and lots of healing vibes, I will be thinking of you on Monday hoping you get some answers and peace of mind…
Take care wee cherub ! :angell:

Hey Fiss,
You just take the valium and nitro and pain meds and don't wait until it gets too bad. I don't get these CRSs. They inflict such pain and so often it ends up making things worse but maybe it has to get worse before it gets better. Rectal surgery is traumatic. One CRS told me it is the worse thing they can do to a person. I can't imagine wanting to go into that specialty. Can you imagine how much people would hate you. One CRS said that after hemorrhoid surgery that people hate him for 2 weeks but it starts to get better.

Good luck with your next appointment. I am sure time is going to get you through this but it is so hard when you are gonig through it. It feels like things will never be the same and you traded a situation you could live with for one that you can't, but it is not over yet. I would have done the same thing in your case.

We love you and are here for you. Image

Fissulyna wrote:She said that doing Botox with ultrasound would be her approach and manometry one of the first things she would do if she was a CRS ........I will call them and ask how they do Botox - if they do it "blind folded" too - than I don't know where to go - to OSLO ??? : )))) Corsica - here I come !!!!LOL

Hate that you are in pain sweetie Image
Your GP must be a wise woman, the way she describes the Botox procedure is exactly how my CRS did it, and he did it after discussing it with another expert at another hospital in Norway. He used an ultrasound so that he couldn't miss the sphincter. Another thing that was important was that he didn't use local anaesthetic, because it could affect the process negatively (difficult to explain in English).
If you come to Oslo Image , we could discuss our butts and :poop:s all night long Image anyone else who want to join that slumberparty? I have a lot of beds, so just sign up!!!

You are right Lecia! My GP said rectal surgery is the worst kind of surgery. However, the CRS seem to think we can heal in 2 days - That is what mine said. I think you are such a strong person Lecia - I had a patient who was telling about his hemmroidectomy and he said he was in so much pain and would not recomend it to anyone. He said he would almost rather deal with his hemmie than to endure that again. You go girl! :)

Hi Cindy : ) - I had my first LIS Dec. 21st 2007 . Was the best thing in the world ! I went to celebrate New Year 10 days after and even danced !!!! I healed completely very soon, and insisted to me visually checked inside to confirm fissure closing - it was confirmed at 9 weeks post op, although I think it closed much sooner. I had some skin tags that developed after the surgery and they bothered me but nothing major. From the beginning though, other CRS who examined me told me that she hopes that my LIS was sufficient since I was still not loose enough. Over period of 4 months my Sphincter slowly but surely regained its FULL strength and fissures started appearing again : (((. My skin tags would than swell very much and cycle happened almost every month . 3 CRSs confirmed me being too tight and I decided
to have LIS no 2. BUT, my new CRS got a cold feet once he needed to cut me and again cut too little : ( - I do not feel loser at all and it is just ridiculous !!!! I hope that your LIS will give you complete and forever healing !!!! : )
LECIA - thanks buddy for telling me that you would do the same thing - I also came to the conclusion last night that I was in much discomfort more and more often and that something definitely needed to be done - I just wish he cut my sphincter MORE, for god's sake - how they do not understand that we are all different and that "one cut does not fit all" !!!!!?????? $$%&(*^&%#$@
CORSI - LOL, I told my doctor about you and that you had that exactly done and she said to me - " Than go to Finland " !!! "Don't
let "big names " sway you, find who knows what they are doing and go there " ! How I wish it is not about 11 hours of flying away
: ((((.... Can you PLEASE send me names of your doctor and that other doctor that he consulted by PM Image

He fiss. Yikes that's a long flight. Before you go, check out Jorge Rivera at Loma Linda University. he did a really good job with my rear, not to ay that I am completely healed, but rather that he is VERY competent and VERY nice and I really felt like he was listening to me. He is the most highly recommended colorectal surgeon in my area. He is also part of the AMA and other associations, so you can check him out a bit online.
