Aaaaaaaaaaaaawe Buddies Image !!!
That was sooooo sweet Image Image Image !!!
I am now trying to make my poop more formed but not too much and that is a major science LOL ! I know that Metamucil will help but am still afraid to use "bulking" thing. I now use Benefiber once a day and it really makes things soft , but too soft for me - I still go 4 times a day Image and that would not be a big deal if it would not make me be home-bound since I need to wash after BM and still hate public restrooms (grrrrrrrr...). And, of course, my poor anus has no rest LOL, I feel like sewer pipe Image . I need to slow down my digestive tract - I guess steak and fries would do the ultimate trick Image ha ha ha.
Hope you all are doing well my dearest buddy-buds

Fiss,
You always keep your sense of humor. How much Benefiber are you using? I just started using it also. I hate it when I go 3 times a day, so I can only imagine how tiresome it would be to go 4 times a day although that is better than being constipated. If I am able to cut down on my Miralax, I am hoping that I will go fewer times. Maybe Benefiber isn't as bulking as metamucil since they are made up of different ingredients.

Yes , Cheryl - Benefiber is made just of soluble fiber , I think , so it just holds water and does not EXPAND that much LOL. I use one tea-spoon before the dinner since I eat so much fiber during the day that I expect starting ruminating any day now Image I took some Metamucil tonight so - HELP ME GOD !!!! :witchpump:

4 times is much with a hurting butt Fiss...no rest!
Do you use any kind of laxative? or just fibre? I saw Benefibre at the pharmacy yesterday. I have bought something called "Testa ispaghulae". I don't know what it is called in English, but it is fibre.
Supposed to keep the water in the colon, and bulk up. Have not tried it before. Can it bulk up to much?
Do you see any improvement at all Fissy? How many weeks since you had your multiple surgery? Are you able to take any painkillers without getting constipated?
I hope you will get better sweetie Image
Take care Image

Testa ispaghulae is Ispaghula husk/ psyllium also called Fybogel in the UK, Metamucil in the US- it is a bulk-forming laxative. It is used to treat constipation. This medicine swells when in contact with fluid and works by increasing the volume of the gut contents. This causes the muscle in the gut to push the contents of the gut along more quickly. Ispaghula husk is a type of fibre. It should only be used if the dietary intake of fibre cannot be increased. Ispaghula husk should be taken with plenty of fluid. The full effect may take some days to be seen. Ispaghula husk is also useful for patients with colostomy, ileostomy, haemorrhoids, anal fissure, chronic diarrhoea associated diverticular disease, irritable bowel disease and as an adjunct in ulcerative colitis.
Yes it can bulk the bms out , maybe just try a very little amount or you may be in pain trying to pass larger Bms , Psyllium needs lots of water !
I used psyllium for years for IBS and it worked great for me , but with anal fissure I find bms are too big and cause me pain, a risk I wont take for now !
Goodluck !

I understand where you are coming from, Fiss. I am trying to make mine more formed without getting bulky and that is such a hit or miss. Just when I think I have found the magic bullet for great poops, the next day is off. Your body sure procesess your food quickly. Even when you take pain pills do you still go 3-4 times a day? :flush:
