Jen (or anyone) I saw that super diaper rash cream thread and I may have asked you this (forgive me, I cannot remember these days) did you like that better or the coconut oil? Does either one work better for the burning?

Is it pain in the beginning of the BM or burning pain afterwards?
If it is burning pain afterwards I would think it's the fissure or what's left of it that burns because of the poop  , but I wouldn't worry. I think that we fissure people will be compromised down there for a very long time, or maybe forever and burning will happen every now and then...anyone who disagrees?
What do you eat? Do you think your sphincter had become looser after LIS? Are you lifting your baby a lot? You know what the other boardies say...no straining! I agree with them, straining is bad for healing fissures.
How are you today sweetie? Image
BM was OK today, I take both lactulose and Movicol to keep things OK. I eat fruit and drink avocado/strawberry smoothies during the day...Tabby told me I eat very healthily :D so it must be true Image I don't dare to go off the wagon and eat "everything", I really think about what I put in my mouth...fibre fibre fibre! I have celiac disease, so it's not like I have ever been able to eat everything. I'm used to living on a very strict diet.
I even went to a party with my work colleagues yesterday evening and drank 2-3 glasses of wine. To me drinking wine, in moderation of course, has not been to bad post LIS. 1- 2 glasses every now and then has been OK, I just have to drink water as well.

Hey Corsi!
I am ok today, still feeling some burn but have not had a BM yet. I went off my fissure diet a little and had a casserole with tomato sauce in it and think that is waht made it burn. I just get so sick of the same thing. I eat mostly healthly with the occasional order of french fries :)
I also love sweets and gave them up for three months and started letting myself have some once or twice a week, which I did fine with.
You are right. I think I will be compromised down there for awhile. It's very frustrating.
What is lactulose and Movicol? Have not heard of those.

Oh! I get it. That stuff works well for me when I don't eat well.
Oh and I don't feel looser since LIS, but BM's were no where near as painful and are larger. I feel LIS worked in the sense of the BM's being easier, but the fissure is just being a booger to heal.
