I just saw Lars and the Real girl last week. What moved me is when his sister in law says, (paraphrasing), we wash her, we dress her, we put her to bed, we talk to her, we drive her around, push her wheelchair, all because we love YOU. Dont you understand that?
Just seeing the whole town accept him where he was at really was inspirational to me.

Corsi - just a quick reply since I have to run out - FIND ANOTHER CRS !!!! I changed 5 CRSs , and NONE of them EVER had a SINGLE case of incontinence !!!!! Nobody here on the forum either ever had a CRS who had incontinence case after LIS. There is BIG difference in competence of surgeons and really - there is no need for you to go through extra stress with him - you already have more than enough as it is ! You have to be more proactive Corsi - he might be nice person, but he does not know how to cut a sphincter Image Image !!!
See ya later ....

The film was very moving, I think the whole family sat there with tears in our eyes...
That comment was very moving, and also she said something like "the whole town is bending over backwards to help you..."
I also liked the beginning of the film where she in a very loving way ran after him being VERY insisting, pushing him to the ground Image
Some people are good Image
Fissy, I will ask him if these incontinent people are his patients....
Image When will we have that party?

What kind of problems are his patients having with LIS? It can't be any worse than what you are going through. Do you have any good periods of the day or good days at all?
I know I have had to change my definition of good. It's all relative.
From what I have read, doing therapy and anti-depressants gives you more bang for your buck or (krone). Anti-depressants can at least increase your pain threshold and help you cope better with long term illness. Seriously, I do not work for Pfizer.

You could have fooled me Image
They have incontinence problems. He told me that I would be painfree, but maybe incontinent...
You're right, it's all relative....

This is bullshit Corsi. You don`t get to be incontinent by having LIS. The worst case is having trouble to tell differnce between liquid and gas. Get a new CRS ASAP. You need a CRS who tell you that LIS fixes you. Please take my advice. I waited to long before I got a new CRS. If I haden`t changed CRS I would have an even bigger ulcer and another shot of the useless Botox.

Corsi - can't you go to Lars's CRS ??? Ask for second opinion - it never hurts Image We just want you to get well already - doctors dismissed your celiac for so many years :( - don't let them boss you around again Image !!! And your fissure got so much smaller already - why would they cut a lot Image They should "customize" approach - one thing is what books say and another live human being (not to say butt). "One size fits all" is never the case in medicine Image
Please take care Image

are we having a lars situation here?
it saddens me when us boardies may become a bit unsensitized when writing to others regarding what others have written.....just a little bit because we have all grown together so closely on this internet land that we have come to just say what we want to say without regard to how we may say it just because i truly believe that we think we are a very tight-knit community and really are looking out for one another like brothers and sisters....
you know, because that is how we can behave with our brothers and sisters and best friends....
so although i know we don't mean to be mean with anyone or begin to twist things around what other people say, it still maybe would be helpful to take a step back before writing something that perhaps will not be interpreted as being helpful but rather scolding, unsupportive, or insensitive.
i know that is none of our intentions but in the end result, this may happen and it will cause some disappointment, hurt, or ill-will. and i know none of us wants that. but i have seen this at least a good seven or eight times and that's that i haven't read ever single posting so i may find more. let's just keep it all in perspective and honor other people's comments even if we don't necessarily agree and if we need to write something about it, the please be a bit more courteous and less assaulting (that's the only word i could think of but you know what i mean) in replying.
big hugs for everyone!

Right, Happy. We need to respect each individual's opinions and support each other as best we can. I am working on being more tolerant of others since my son's last visit home.

Sorry if I upset someone here... :( I just don`t agree with Corsicas CRS regarding incontinent having LIS.... I did not mean to offend anyone and in the end it is of course Corsicas choice what to do..
