Hello,

I think it is good time to place some update regarding my condition. It's been 1.5 year after 1st surgery and half a year after second one. I can herebly confirm, that LIS was the key answer to my problems. Firstly after the LIS I still experienced spasms and discomfort, but with time after 2-3 months these completely gone. I don't feel pain during BM at all now, eating what I want, drinking what I want.

The most interesting part is that visually wound is not healed yet, and still there, however it does not cause any problems in daily life, which means I don't care about it most of the time. Only sometimes having more hard BM I feel problem is not gone completely.

What is most important I am back to normal, regular life, my son is now 1 years old and time spent with him is the best enjoyable thing now! I am continuously appreciating everyone's post on this forum, especially with whom I was in contact during terrible YEAR of my life, in combination of pain, depression, upset mood, and wiliness to stop this stupid disease. Thank you OMB, jr2, Savaici, bgd, Davo, Reni, JHH, dr Windsor and everybody else reading and supporting me.

I spend some private money on LIS it was around 2k of pounds, but it worth every penny, never regretting this and wish you everything very best, don't give up(so easy to say now lol), fight, find the options, we are lucky to leave in century a lot of things can be fixed.

Hi.

Can I ask do you still bleed with BM? Also, do you exercise? I too had a very similar story and my LIS did not heal my wounds completely and they still cause me pain daily.

I anyone still active out there on this thread? I'm 8 weeks post surgery for a pretty bad thrombosed hemorrhoid here in the San Fracisco area. I've been diagnosed (prior to this thrombosed one, after the last thrombosed one 5 months ago) with Pelvic Floor Dysfunction (very tight anus).

I'm still in hell, looking for answers/suggestions. Had Botox 1.5 weeks ago, seemed to take the edge off the post-BM spasms, but they seem to be coming back. Incision (open) is finally healing better, but still painful to touch with finger or TP. Perimeter around the incision is very painful, feels bruised. Sitting is possible sometimes, other times not, however I "pay for it" the next day with what feel like spasms again.

Tried Nifedipine+lidocaine - didn't do much after 1.5 weeks
Botox - I'd give it a B- grade
Topical Diclofenac - seems useful if I use enough
Opioid pain killers - no thanks, constipating
Tylenol/Motrin/Aleve - we're useful, but some one or more of them gave me Tinnitus (ringing in the ear), taking only 2400 mg of Motin per day now
Ativan - anti-anxiety drug, helps a bit, let's me sleep slightly better

Still getting a bit of blood with BM, not much, but disturbing after 8 weeks

Has anyone done dilation/physical therapy/anal stretching to minimize the spasms and try to speed healing?

Will this ever end? I'm not in a good place.

TS,

i am from the bay area as well! i too have been diagnosed with pelvic floor dysfunction and have tried pelvic floor physical therapy with no help. i was advised by my physical therapist to start self dilating but have not started.
2/14 Fissure developed
3/14 Diagnosed w/ fissure given Nifedipine
4/14 Referred to Pelvic Floor Physical Therapy=Pelvic Floor Dysfunction
5/14 Fissure declared "healed"/chronic anal pain persists
9/5/14 Botox to pelvic floor
9/22 biofeedback

Hello,

Decided to spot some update regarding my state. Next month I will be one year post LIS. Time without pain runs quicker for sure. Just to say something regarding problems, after one hard BM, I got small fissure like max 2mm big, but it is counted as acute and just healed in some 3 days. Is that LIS with lower resting pressure? Sounds like true.

Because of work and a lot of sitting, actually got another problem now. Back pain. Seems like some spinal disk herniation or something related. Will attend MRI scan this evening.

New fissure popup, fighting with it already for 3 weeks in row. Posterior.
Back softeners and some creams. Seems will start nifidipine + nytro again.

What did happen, is that muscle back to normal after LIS during that year? Feeling frustrated a lot again :( It was so great to live without problems...

Oh dear, I'm so sorry pinpin. What rotten luck.
Have you had some stress in your life recently? That always does it for me.
I hope you feel better really soon.
:smilyhug: :smilyhug:
Nifedipine/lidocaine, no help
Diltiazem, effective, but caused major rash
Nitroglycerine, effective.
Topical estrogen for final healing.
Gentle heat to bottom - pain relief, muscle relaxant
Kondremul mineral oil
Time - lots of time.
Status - Healed!
