Thanks Ff. Your kind words mean so much to me. Hugs right back to you! I'm so sorry to hear the pain has returned for you. I too hope that passes for you very soon.

The hardest part for me lately is that I haven't been able to sleep much. Since my LIS 7 months ago it has been a challenge but the last few weeks have been consistently bad. I wake up early and can't sleep anymore, leaving me chronically sleep deprived which makes pain and coping much worse. I don't want to have to resort to a sleeping pill but feel I am heading in that direction.

Did you try the estrace, msimon? You said you had a prescription for it - I was wondering if you've tried it. I used it for a couple of months before feeling fully healed.
Nifedipine/lidocaine, no help
Diltiazem, effective, but caused major rash
Nitroglycerine, effective.
Topical estrogen for final healing.
Gentle heat to bottom - pain relief, muscle relaxant
Kondremul mineral oil
Time - lots of time.
Status - Healed!

Yes, thanks, I have been using a compounded estradiol cream daily now for about 6 weeks. It has definitely helped with healing but my incision area is still open and can cause me a lot of pain like a fissure. I am also having a lot of pain in my pelvic floor and the two are playing off each other. Thanks for asking :)

hi msimon, for your sleep problems, have you tried Melatonin? I just discovered it, it did wonders with my jet-lagg, I strongly advise it! Just take one, half an hour before bed time, and you'll sleep well, continuously and wake up fresh in the morning.
Sorry to hear about your pain, hope it will get easier for you!

Thanks Garrod. Actually, I have been taking melatonin every night for quite some time. I can fall asleep but wake up after 6 hours and then that's it. When chronically stressed and healing that's just not enough night after night. Maybe I need to take more melatonin. I only take 1mg and have seen much larger doses available out there. How much did you take?

Sorry to hijack your thread here Ff ;)

feeling 95% better today :) slight tugging pain throughout the day. Last night I had a chronic itch at 6 and 7, which was really weird. Sudocrem helped and didn't scratch!!!

it's fine to talk on this thread! as long as we all get better that's the most important thing :) Sharing information is such a good way of exploring possible cures and finding ways forward.

will keep you all poted x

:groan: Just lost my post

I will try to type it up again lol.

Good morning everyone!! My body is being weird lately; 2 days ago I had chronic itching at the 6pm mark just before bed but I didn't scratch - sudocrem helped to sooth it. that settled and all is well now, I feel segnificantly better with everything however my body is having 2 BMs a day, a small one in the morning and a large one in the evening but I've not changed any meds or eaten any more?

I've noticed whilst applying my cream just inside the sphincter at the 12+1 positions I've got two tiny lumps that are easily felt, I'm guessing these are old hemmis or injection sites? they are tiny and are quite sensetive to the touch.

Also, I've noticed my Skin tag at 6 is GONE. I guess I didn't notice before as it was so swollen down there but I'm guessing my CRS banded the tag with a hemmi and it has fallen off? it was quite a big tag so it's odd not to see it down there after all this time!!

but overall I'm not doing badly at all! pain throughout the day 2/10 pain on BM 2.5/10.
I've been here before though feeling rather positive then all it takes is one little setback that sends me spiralling back down again (the healing process reminds me of playing snakes and ladders as a kid, you'd be doing so well then roll a 5 and end up on a snake bringing you back to the start again)

Big hugs to all :heartthrow:

FF

Lol! Snakes and ladders. So true!

Glad to hear things continue to improve overall. That itchiness must be a good thing, like signalling healing.

So you didn't used to have 2 BMs/day? Botox made me poop a lot more often. That should wear off with the botox if that's the case.

Don't know what to say about the lumps or skin tag though....weird. Maybe the lumps are external hemmies and maybe your surgeon removed your tag. I wouldn't think he would have banded it as they usually don't band anything that low as the pain would be insane!
