Yes when compared to some things life with a fissure is not the worse...
(although mid spasm it certainly feels that way)
Some people go through so much with no light at the end of the tunnel. I guess an up and down path will in the end make us appreciate the recovery so much more when it eventually happens.
Hope you have a pain free weekend

My pain is bearable watching my diet BM stays soft which is the only way to a bearable day.take care

Hi HTD,
Glad your pain has gone down that's good shows you can get back to the point where there was very little pain.
Hope you can reintroduce a bit more food soon even just occasionally.
Hugs

Hello friend. Been eating more and occasionally there is more pain. I had lost 15 pounds since this started and now gained a couple back. I am doing good with morale - too confident sometimes ( like I have yet to pick up the refill of the nifedipine cream- it's been a week!) but I am still not healed .
As for weekly update was a good week overall today is Monday but is a Labor Day holiday. Too many dietary indiscretions yesterday and am in a little more pain today as bm was more difficult but still doing better than when I first returned from travels. Staying positive and upbeat - need to keep the discipline / to avoid gong back to severe pain again. I know I am less than 80% healed still . Keeping the faith.

So glad your doing better, it's great you are managing to eat more and are even putting weight back on. I think we will always have to be careful. I did try not putting my GTN on once last week and although I didn't get spasms my discomfort increased to pain so am staying with it until I have the LIS.
At least you are much better than when you were travelling and are now on the road to being finally healed.
Here's hoping for another good week for you

Once the rough times begin - it's a few more steps back. Today was more pain but still staying positive. It's all in the mind when pain is not too bad - it's up to a 5 but did not last all day.
Keep the faith right?

Oh no that's not great, but like you say it's all in the mind. With pain at a 5 you can do your job spend time with your kids and generally live a life without being consumed by the pain, once it get to a 7 we can still do those things but our mind has no option other than to do them halfheartedly as all it can focus on is the pain. At least it didn't last all day which could be a sign the pain is from the healing process maybe.
Chin up this will end eventually

Unfortunately today was retear day, with a lot ( I mean a lot ) of pain during. Pain lasted all day and towards the end of the day - yes some spasms.
I guess there is no time for tears or even to re chronicle like I had done after Botox.
I am even getting tired of my diary. I can't believe all the progress I had made and now this. I do do believe I have been reasonably careful with diet.
It's fine - life goes on.
Chin up like you said MPB. I am not sure I will write in much for a bit - if I don't please know my thoughts are with you.

HTD, I'm so sorry to hear about the pain you're going through. Big hugs for you and know that I'm sending you lots of happy and healthy energy your way. :)

I know when you're in pain, it's not easy to keep up the spirits and try to appreciate everything that IS going right, but people have healed - and you will too! I admire your ability to maintain your strength and positivity... you CAN beat this.

It's just a matter of finding what combo works.

I just updated my thread with a whole bunch of new things I tried. I almost found the magic combination: Alfalfa + Rutin, except I developed a sensitivity to alfalfa. Alfalfa is an AMAZING stool softener though. Wish I could have stayed on it.

Stay strong HTD. One day at a time.
