Been a tough 2 days now. I hate having to wait and wishing that I was already operated and on the road to recovery.

My hemmis seem to be getting progressively worse and the longer I wait, the worse they may get. A little worried here. Pain has been fluctuating between a 3, 4 and a 5 for 2 days now and GTN seems to have less of an effect than before.

From what I have guaged from other people Ive spoken to that have been operated on (small procedures, some unrelated to fissures or hemmis), first comes the bloodwork, then about 2 weeks later an interview with anaesthesia dept. then another 2 to 3 weeks later the operation, which basically means I will be having a Red Christmas.

Waiting is almost as much torture as the physical discomfort itself. I'm getting impatient and not being able to help out more at home, work without having to sit down every 5 minutes and hitting the gym is starting to take its toll. Eating habits I can live with but the general incapacity I have now is just too much.

I'm becoming a grouch and I'm not happy about it.
I'm actually becoming the PitA I have.

Think of it this way every day is a day nearer your surgery and a day further away from the pain. It's so hard when something so tiny has such a huge impact on our lives...it seems to take over everything that we do and think. But don't forget you have the ultimate control because you have decided to have the surgery to get rid of the thing.
Of course your grouchy who wouldn't be when their in constant pain I'm sure your wife understands completely....not long now though

I would like to say it's only natural...but then I have friends who have bee ill for years and their partners manage to stay empathetic the whole time. I'm sure it will get much easier after LIS when your getting back to normal lol
