Im at work so sleeping on the job is not advisable. lol. Trying to keep myself busy and not think about it.

My son and other half were ill about 2 weeks ago and I didnt catch it. I did have to help with roundabout decoration for the PTA so I was mounting scenery in the rain. I couldnt get out of it as Im the one who drew up the concept, so I pretty much set myself up for this. Somewhat like the fissure a few months back. Nothing I couldnt have avoided. Funny how we only remember afterward.

Im not 17 anymore. Im 37. 20 years of constant beating will make the body weaker ... lol

Oh no then no falling asleep,
Ah I see yes we do have a tendency to only think things through after the event. Yes if only we could go back 20 years but keep the knowledge....I know I would certainly look after my body a lot more lol

Called the hospital. Seems my bloodwork is now scheduled for the 30th of December. Should take about 2 weeks to see aneasthesia then about a week till the pre-op. From what it looks like, before Feb 2017 I should get the op. Until then, pain.

My fissure has been behaving a little bit. Having BMs every 2 to 3 days (one normal followed by a softer one) and I only have pain on those days but manageable with GTN. I have my anaesthesia appointement on Friday morning so I should be operated by next week if all runs well. How is LIS post op recovery for all of you that have had the procedure? Pain from 1-10?

My pain (other than the first night when I stupidly tried to push what I thought was my prolapsed hemmie back up into the canal), was about a 5 for the first couple of days and then tapered off to a zero by about day 10 - 14.

Good luck and I hope that you're back to "normal" soon!

Hey IT,
Glad your getting it done Hun....I'm sure your recovery will be smooth and I know there are lots of diaries that give great info on here....obvs not mine lol that's a tad depressing but most people recover fully after 2 weeks according to my CRS.
Really good luck and keep us posted

LIS booked for the 28th.

Things have been getting better though and a surgeon that hasnt deal with my case from day one asked me if I was sure I wanted the procedure now but I prefer getting it done to avoid this torture again. 10 months of pain is enough for me.

If I dont apply the GTN I get about a 3/10 pain that lingers for a few hours. This has been practically what its like now for about 3 months.
