Thank positivesun and mamafizz.

I considered the Botox, but my surgeon did not think it was worth it - she doubted it would work in my case and then having it would mean she would not be able to do surgery for months until it wore off.

The other thing I am considering is that I am an extremely active person - I desperately want to return eventually to my personal training job. If having the surgery means I will not have to worry every time I move about "aggravating the muscles" down there, then I think it is the right choice for me. If I was a less active person I may see it differently and be willing to wait, but it's been almost 6 months of basically bed rest for me and I am just not a person who can live like this.

Thanks again for your support! I will keep updating as the process progrssses

I am a very active person as well GG and I feel the same way. It sucks to constantly be in pain because it is depressing and keeps me from doing everything I want to do. I am considering LIS as well once I exhaust all remaining options. Will be interested to see how your recovery goes. Keeping you in my prayers!

GG, Postive sun the specialist also shared this info As with fissures there can be internal pressure and swollen veins,.as the internal hemorrhoid swelling decreases the pulling you feel should improve. This pressure, pulling feeling is the levator muscle pulling the pelvic tailbone as this is where it is attached. It can take awhile. Also some people hold their stress in their backs or necks, others hold it in this area, He reiterated it WILL go away.. He is really wonderful, he will do a phone consult also to answer questions etc.. sometimes alittle reassurance goes a long way. He also believes in holistic remedy as well. I will share any info if you like. Let me know.

I do! My favourite healthy one is this:

I normally add cinnamon and craisins, or chocolate chips!

Pretty yummy.

Glad they were good mamafizz!

I'm having a rotten day. I am taking morphine to manage my pain, but when it builds up in my system I get bad heartburn. So, I took about half the amount of morphone yesterday - and I am paying for it now with diarrhea and pain through the roof. I am sure that my previous month of diarrhea was caused by going off morphine...scared now that my body will never be back to normal. I HATE taking this stuff, but I can't live with the constant pain. And I'm not pain free even with the morphine - I only take enough so that I have minimal pain when lying down.

I'm so looking forward to my appointment with the surgeon...I need this to be done.

Anyways, just a rant today.

awe I know hun today having a hard time also... The meds are so tricky. Our boidies are designed to heal, I am around 7 months now and never dreamed this would still be an issue. It surely is a learning experience. Waiting was never my forte. Is your pain more of the burning aching or the tight tenemus and spasms? (or both)? Have you lost much weight and have you been able to eat at least?
