Hi Lecia,
I appreciate all the support.
I guess the ligasure, is like a sealing (cauterizing?), it may be like a harmonic scapel, but newer. It cuts and seals at the same time. Supposedly it is supposed to give less pain, but I don't believe it! I had lots of pain and bleeding, it basically never stopped during the last 11 weeks. The Dr. has apologized for the pain, but that doesn't do me much good. It was VERY painful. Sounds like you can relate to the pain.
I did sign a consent before the scope, not knowing what I was getting into. The consent for possible hemmroid and/or polyp removal, if needed. No information about possible side effects, pain, etc. I was very uninformed, my fault and my dr's.
Wishing you a safe trip and a good appointment. Hope all goes well for you today. I live in a small town with no specialists, I tried a specialist about an hour from here but he was very uncaring and quick. He took about 5 minutes and didn't ask me any questions. I felt like he was protecting other Dr.
