I had my skin tag removed when I had the h'rectomy but I can't really say how it healed since the whole area was so funkified.  But I will say now I am so glad I got rid of that thing.  It took a lot of healing but it is better than having additional pain or potential for pain.  It will get there.  Don't give up on your butt.I used to bring spiritual stuff to read too when I was taking soaks.  Have you read the Last Lecture by Randy Paugh?  or the Shack?  I can send those if you like.  Love ya!

Fiss -
Sorry to hear that today was not better! Is the hole actually black? Or is that just a nickname you have fot it? I am just asking because I had a black wound with my hemmie removal and it eventually fell off - GROSS! Image
Do you have a hot tub? I wish I had one. I was in my friend's after my surgery and it was awsome! I actually even thought about buying one after all my butt issues started! :bathtub:
I know this is going to sound really strange - but maybe you should take a picture of your bum weekly so you can see how far the healing has come?? I know you have been a photographer in the past. It might be able to help you notice if there is any healing from week to week.
You will heal Fissy! I have so much faith in it.

Hey Budds Image !!! Thanks for checking on your Fissy - I know I am starting to bore you all with my "hole" , but it hurt like hell and I have to share Image Image Image .
Jen - thanks for idea LOL - lately I "draw my butt" not to freak my CRS any more Image , and he was so impressed with anatomical illustration and details and "shading" that he kept talking more about my drawing than my actual butt - if one thing is certain - it is that he will never ever forget me till the end of his life Image ! All the rest of my butt has obvious and very advanced signs of "non healing" (read opposite - this is against "Gremlins" LOL). I do not even need a photos - it is VERY obvious . The only thing that has no changes and is still hurting like crazy is that spot where skin tag used to be. New small folds formed on the sides and I have to gently stretch the skin apart to see the "hole" - it is still "empty" - no new tissue growing as he
predicted happening . What is freaky is that touching it gently there is no pain , but when poop stretches whole anus that place just goes berserk with pain - almost the level of acute fissure and from that moment pain does not stop. It start to hurt even when I feel urge to go Image - as soon as is the slightest pressure of the poop and I know why Image . When I look at my anus BEFORE pooping it is little bit inverted toward inside ( that same phenomenon I had after my first LIS for couple of months and than it stopped). In that period my skin tag would go in and out and get irritated Image . Now I have a "skin hole " that goes in and out and gets PAINFUL this time around Image Image Image Image !!!! That single spot feels like I have a splinter stuck in all the time - exactly same feeling (Lecia sweetness - please one cactus "smily" for Fissy Image ), and during pooping that "splinter" goes even deeper and than whole butt is on prickles for hours Image Image Image
Pinky - the best of luck sweetness - we all will be keeping you in our thoughts and prayers - you will do just great Image Image - after so much pain LIS is really peace of cake - you will see !!!! Image Image Image

I wonder if the nerves are just irritated down there too.  What a terrible feeling.  Or maybe some phantom nerve response from where the tissue used to be.  Either way, I know it hurts more than anything.  Are you still going potty about 3 times a day?  Do you think a stool softener would make you more comfortable?

Hey buddy XOXO - I thought about that , but when all calms down - pain is RIGHT in that spot where tag was - so no phantom ( well one is inside me that is for sure, lol, but not in the nerve ha ha). OK, where was I, yeah, phantom is usually always there and same intensity, this idiot changes intensity and is always connected to the poop anus stretch Image . Same way the tag went in and out and was irritated , same way this crap gets in and out , but since it is a wound it HURTS like hell. Now I go 2 times since I eat mostly only once a day now and it is soft as soft can be buddy : (((( , mushy. I don't think liquid would would be advisable Image Image . I will call tomorrow to ask what he thinks and will have to make the photo of my AH inverting since so far after my first LIS nobody understood what I was talking about and would look at me like this Image . I think that outer sphincter gets stretched in certain way during surgery and than after a while it regains its regular tonus and stopps doing that weird stuff Image . It did after couple of months after first LIS. Oh boy - just crazy Image - how the heck it will "fill up" and grow back if continually irritated like this is beyond me Image . I SOOOOO wish he did put a stitch -infection or not - your closed after all at the end even with all complications Image Image . THIS ..... maybe water of Lurdes might help - I don't see any other way Image Image Image

Do you think he could put a stitch in this late in the game to fuse the sides together?  That just sounds terrible.  You know I am praying for you.  Sweet Jesus, please help Fissy!

Aaaaaawe buddy - thank you sooooooo much Image Image Image Image Image Image Image Image Image!!!
I don't know what CRS can do Image , I will ask him nicely if he had a case like this and if he could please consult with his colleges Image . The thing inside is not white any more , it is dark red-pink, like fresh Ahi and looks like small bump. You know that feeling when you just know from the beginning that something is off and nobody believes you Image ahhhhhhhhh.... we shall see, I just hate waiting if something else should be done at the end and could have been done long time ego Image - I don't know ... buddy - just also pray that I stay "normal in the head" LOL
LOVE YOU Image

I know exactly what you are talking about.  The CRS that did my hemorrhoidectomy kept dismissing me even though I knew I wasn't healing right in one spot.  That is when we went to Wake Forest to see a CRS there and he said it was a fistula.  So I think it is good to b vigilant.  I understand the mental strain.  I really think we have post-traumatic stress disorder except it isn't post-trauma.  It is peri-trauma.  It is a normal reaction to pain that is out of our control.Love you too!
