Hi all
My new house is fine :) Great to own something. Thanks for asking.
My surgury date is soon to come(30 sep). Has said to my boss at work that I will me missing a least 3 months of work. I have deciced to fully focus on healing and recover from the surgury. If I lose the job then that`s is a price I have to pay. Don`t like it though as they are trying to get in a replacement as fast as possible. I pray that I will return as a new man and can really show what I am good for :)

Good luck Lars
Have you told your boss you will be away for 3 months, or that you might be away for 3 months? Do you think it will take that much time to heal? I really hope you get rid of this Image for ever.
Keep us posted :) Corsica

3 months seems like a long time for just an LIS. did your dr recommend that much time off? maybe you meant 3 weeks? i took 2 weeks off after each of my LIS surgeries, could've used another week but that's about it. if it's gonna work, it's gonna work. you're lucky your job is so understanding!

I have told my boss that I might be away for 3 months. The plan is that I will have LIS with fissurerectomy. Doesn`t it take 12 weeks for it to heal completly when you have fissurerectomy?
My CRS told me that it would take a very long time since I have a very big ulcer...

I had a fissurerectomy and layed open two fistulas. I didnt have the LIS but they sewed the two fisures up since they were deep. I went back to work in fear of losing my job the next Monday. Stayed in the hospital over the weekend then back to work on Monday. I know what you are going through with the job situation. There is only one person on this forum who knows the hell i have been under healing GOING TO WORK. I am working way past 12 weeks. I am 70 pecent healed. My fisures are gone but my fisulas are in full force draining. I am on pain meds in the morning and the afternoon to get me through work. Believe me i know your fear of losing your job. Looking back i dont think it was worth going back to work. I should have went on short term disability and stayed home to heal. Like i said i am way past 12 weeks and still suffering while at work.
I wish you well on your speedy recovery. You are doing the right thing and taking time off. I think you will be back before 3 weeks if you play the cards right. Dont be like me and pay the price.
Wish you well, Take Care

good luck for your surgery Lars. You've definately got the right idea about your job, after all, you can always get another job if the worst comes to worst, but you can never get another butt! Bernard knows only too well the high cost of putting work before health, and it really isn't worth it.
I wish you all the best for an uneventful surgery and very quick recovery.
Bernard, thats great that your fissures have healed, I hope the fistulas hurry up and heal too. You've absolutely been through hell, and you deserve to feel better and have your life back very soon. I know what a nightmare all this has been for you, I hope you get well soon.
