Fissy dear,it is horrible to go 4 times now.maybe you can start cutting down on laxatives slowly and eat a high fibre diet with lots of fruits and veggies since youve not had a problem with constipation before.even i never had problems with my digestive system.i would poop as soon as i woke up and i ended up with a fissure which is so annoying Image
hope the beagle and cream cheese works for you Image

Thanks Pinky Image
I am eating a lot of fruits and veggies , always did LOL. It is just that I cut off completely from my diet bread, pasta, milk, cheese and many more non veggie-like things and it just makes me goin' and goin' and goin' LOL. I stopped Colace yesterday, and today I will stop with Benefiber. I will try to incorporate "normal" food in my diet too - this is just crazy ...
Hope you are much more relaxed now that your Sis is with you and can help with it all and that your pain will improve with more rest Image

Testa ispaghulae is Ispaghula husk/ psyllium also called Fybogel in the UK, Metamucil in the US- it is a bulk-forming laxative. It is used to treat constipation. This medicine swells when in contact with fluid and works by increasing the volume of the gut contents. This causes the muscle in the gut to push the contents of the gut along more quickly. Ispaghula husk is a type of fibre. It should only be used if the dietary intake of fibre cannot be increased. Ispaghula husk should be taken with plenty of fluid. The full effect may take some days to be seen. Ispaghula husk is also useful for patients with colostomy, ileostomy, haemorrhoids, anal fissure, chronic diarrhoea associated diverticular disease, irritable bowel disease and as an adjunct in ulcerative colitis.
Yes it can bulk the bms out , maybe just try a very little amount or you may be in pain trying to pass larger Bms , Psyllium needs lots of water !
I used psyllium for years for IBS and it worked great for me , but with anal fissure I find bms are too big and cause me pain, a risk I wont take for now !
Goodluck !

Image Image Image No wonder my BM was big and caused blood this morning! I hate all this. The lady at the pharmacy said it was so good!
I have taken 3 doses daily....I think I just want to dig a hole in my garden and jump in Image
Thanks for the advice!
Fissy, I feel sorry for you because you have to go so often. Can you cut down on things and only eat "normal" food?

You are a good girl having oatmeal and toast best thing you can do, your tummy might be finidng it hard to adjust either way to your change of diets, relax lay down and have a hot bottle/pad on your tummy , maybe massage tummy too Image
