I'm happy you are better today, too Fiss.
When you get that yoga DVD, I hope it has some meditation techniques if you don't already know them.
I did yoga for a couple of years while I was in college, very religiously. I loved it! I did my exercises once a day and the meditation twice a day. It was amazing to awake from a deep sleep and not feel the least bit groggy everyday. I only wish I had the motivation to begin again. They are currently teaching classes here, heck I may just sign up!

What type of meditation you used :D ? I also think that joining a class is the most sure way to "make oneself" do something lol . You pay a good chunk of $$$, so you feel guilty if you do not go, ha ha. It always worked for me with exercise . It is also nice to have somebody that will join with you so that person would bug you to go Image . I was exercising religiously for couple of years while I had my best friend going with me - once she moved I stopped going "cold turkey" Image . I hate doing anything alone - even watching a movie Image. Oh well...

I just did the normal "be aware of your breathing" to the exclusion of all else type meditation with different breathing techniques. In addition to about 15-20 different exercises each day.
Yes, it would be great to have an exercise/yoga buddy, to motivate each other!
Did you feel better when you exercised routinely?

I felt sooooo great - I was full of energy and my body was so toned - I was 32 and had better body than any high-school girl lol. It also effected my mood tremendously . I just had a second baby and being at home alone whole day with 2 kids was VERY exhausting in many ways. I went only twice a week from 7pm to 9:30 pm, than had a coffee with my friends in neighboring Sturbucks till 10:30 - oh boy - it really helped me stay extremely happy and sane in that period Image ! Exercise has so many benefits - I hate that now I can not do any - now I would go even alone if I could Image !!!
Yes, breathing exercises for meditation can also do wonders for ones mind and body - and I have no excuse for not doing those and I have to have a "serious talk with myself" LOL !!! I hope I will be "strong" and get to do it when my DVD comes lol ! This butt thing takes away so much time and energy - when I have a moment of free time I just feel like plopping down on the sofa now Image . Just pitiful ...

well fissy, if you are doing breeding exercises, no wonder you were in very good mood all day! Image

i would definitely recommend two yoga videos to get started:
yoga journal's beginning yoga with patricia walden (you can get it at target or walmart for like $14)
and yoga journal's a.m. and p.m. yoga, these are done with rodney yee for a.m. and patricia walden for p.m., they are only 20 minutes each and you do them well, a.m. in the morning and p.m., a bit before you go to sleep. - this is all combined in one DVD!
by combining these two, the beginning yoga practice gives you a really good foundation at a really slow place but it also puts you in a wonderful calm state once you are done and the a.m./p.m. helps you put to practice what you are learning.
you can then move up to other great dvds with rodney yee or baron baptiste or who ever you want to try.......
