I never understood the concept of using the two together but now I do ibuprofen fights pain the paracemtol will reduce swelling and inflammation.
Edit - ibuprofen will reduce swelling and inflammation, the paracemtol fights pain !

hehe correct tabby, i never noticed that so, hehe for both of us.
well anyway,my neighbour had to phone to nhs 24, took 2 nd half hrs but hey they called back,
a doctor came out, was expecting to get sent to 9wells, buttttttttttt guesss wot i got a painkilling injection, nd a sleeping tablet very mild one but hey they worked,
i woke up around 4.30 am, that was from around 10.30ish,
he left painkillers buttttt they were dehydracodine.
thats after explain codine of anysort dont do me any favours,
asked for a sronger laxitive but he said no,
5 days i think now with out a poo :(
feeling bunged up thugh, but i aint going to strain stuff that,
so back on the headx, ad some soup , nd a jelly but still having to force stuff down
my appatiet is so very not there at the mo,
the fisssures ohhh yes there ,,,there,
god i aint looking 4ward to my next bm i can tell u,
but i no it will happen, 5 days with none omg Image
think this is the longest ive ever done, wen i said to the doc he smiled nd said not to worry,
i wonder if he`d not worry if he`d fissures nd not had a bm for 5 days .....
ohhh well the bloody joys, just got to try nd keep smiling through all this crap... ohh well or lack of crap. Image :roll:

Thes doctors really are crazy! Poor you!
Have you tried prune juice, or eating prunes?Are you drinking tons of water - you're on lactulose, right? Lactulose without water isn't good! Maybe you could take some milk of magnesia, that could maybe shift things.

Sorry to hear about your rough night Image Glad you have managed a little rest and something to eat – I hope something productive comes from seeing the doctor tomorrow …
Really dig your heels in Darren demand something be done NOW Image your pain sounds terrible :(
Milk of magnesia would be a good one to try you do need a clear out – I don’t know what the recommended does is though Image
