Thanks Jen, Kim (I know where I am :D , where are you?), Cheryl, Tootie, Tabby & Pinky Image
I am doing OK ish - no crippling pain, but I think the healing process is very slow. I cannot do too much before I feel something. No quick heal for me. I don't things will be OK for me when it comes to digestion/colon/butt department. It has lasted too long and too much history. I am happy I had LIS for the pain, but it is a scary thing to do with side effects that really can destroy our lives further - now or in the future.
But honestly, I don't see what else I could have done, the pain was killing me...slowly sucking the life out of me.
I have gradually lowered the dose of Movicol. I don't know if that has been good or bad, but I detest taking it so I just have to wean off. I have had too soft BMs so it's like my body doesn't agree with it either... I am down to 1 teaspoon now. Hope to be off it asap!
2 days ago I didn't take it and things were more slow moving therefore I took it again last night, and today things were too soft again Image
I work a few hours a week and I love it - big time!
Trying to be live a more normal life with friends and family, but I am taking things slow...no hurry!
My laptop crashed a while ago so now I have to use my hubby's, or one of the other PCs in the house...haven't been online as much lately.
More important - how are you???
I'll post pictures of Grumpter soon, he's out in the garden most days...looking at the flowers on the cherry trees...he is one strange guy!

PS Will catch up & read more tomorrow...

Where am I? At your back door, can you hear me knocking? Image
By side effects of the LIS, I think you are worrying too much. If it was going to cause those "side effect" you'd already have them by now, and seriously. Every day that goes by is another day your body compensates and adjusts for the surgery.
You are gonna be OK, no serious "side effects," Corsi! Image

Its nice to hear from you Corsi Image
I second what Kim says if there was any side effects it sure would be apparent by now Image What do you mean by damage in the future ??? Incontinence ?
You are going to beat this ! I felt the very same at 10 weeks looking back 10 weeks to 12 weeks it made a difference, its hard to believe I know, the wise one here who said to judge in weeks/months opposed to days is so right !
I started my power walking at week 10 and it really helped ease discomfort, Have you tried a good walk on the bad days ? Exercise is very important !
There is no hurry sweetie pants Image just stay positive and relaxed...don't stress Image

I have walked on and off in the evenings since LIS, or since I had this fissure. The last 2 weeks things have changed...it feels better to walk - too much rest and relaxation makes things more uncomfortable - I have to move more. Could I start going to the gym? Weight training? I would love to do that.
My CRS talked about incontinence for us LIS women as we became older.
Thanks Kim &Tabby Image
