Outside hemmis can be extremely painful. Although it is often recommended to "open" and drain them, it can cause a fissure formation , so I would try to make it heal by itself. It is longer process (could take couple of weeks ) but is absolutely possible to heal it without intervention.
Since it is a blood-clot , try to use anti-clotting meds, such as aspirin (Bayer ) or Ibuprofen (might help with inflammation too ).
My Mom sometimes gets that kind of hemmi and she uses White Oak Bark infusion to wash herself and also cool compresses and some natural oils.
Anusol is anti-inflammatory and should help with that part.
