Heck no you're not hijacking my thread, I asked the question, silly!! :D Does the surgeon you saw on Tuesday know you've had a four-year history of fissures? If he did maybe he'd be more willing to take action. I know when I told the nurse at the CRS's office it had been five years for me, she said--Oh yeah, it's time.
They STILL haven't called! Everytime the phone rings, I jump. I am so ready to just schedule it....I wish I'd thought to ask if he had any idea how long it might be, like a general sense of whether it might be days, weeks, or months before I could get it done! My kids' spring break is a little over a month away and I can't make plans. My husband keeps asking me what my plans are for this or that, and I want to strangle him! Life is just on hold for me until I get this dealt with.
I haven't bothered to tell the kids that anything's about to happen...does anyone have any idea what the best thing to tell them might be? Anyone who's had the surgery who also has kids? My kids range in age from 5 to 10. I've already decided not to tell them it was butt surgery...you know how kids this age are, they'd probably laugh their heads off, either that or develop a phobia of butt surgery at a young age.
I think I'll just say that I had surgery on my private area to fix something that happened when I had baby Cora. The only downside to this, is that my kids are all girls and I don't want to make them scared of having babies...
I'm probably overthinking this, I guess it will all work itself out. Sorry for the ramble!
