Any thoughts on surgery?

Hi OMB. I am doing okay. I have been on a healing trend but one wrong poop and it will be all over. I am pretty sure I am going to schedule my surgery for January so I will be making an appointment with my CRS for Nov./Dec. to go over all the final details and answer all my questions. (of which I have a lot!!). In the meantime I am having some varicose veins taken care of in my leg. They are pretty bad and are now causing me some achy pain and swelling besides not looking too nice. Another reason is because they put me at higher risk for blood clots. I thought it might be a good idea to have them taken care of before the surgery as I will most likely be highly inactive for a while which increases risk as well. I had my consultation today. It will be 3 to 5 treatments and I have to wear these hose for 48 hours after. But you know what I just thought about while writing this is they asked me if I wanted thigh high hose or panty hose and I said panty hose and that is what she wrote the script for but I wonder if that is going to aggravate the fissures??? I better call tomorrow and change that to thigh high hose. Thanks OMB for checking on me and making me think of that !! lol.

In so much pain. I new the upside wouldn't last long. I have to get through til the surgery. So tired of this life.

I'm so sorry to hear that you are having a bad day...take some pain medication if you need to or maybe add a heating pad to relief the pain. Try doing something that will distract you from the pain like watching a movie? And cry if you need to.

I can definitely relate... You will get through it!! Hopefully tomorrow will be a better day

Wounded where in the Midwest are you? I am in mn. Have you ever tried Rutin for your veins? I take it for veins or if I get a hemorrhoid. Maybe it would help before/after your surgery. I hope you feel better soon. May God give you some rest tonight.

Thanks hopeful. Never heard of that. Will check it out. Doing better this am but I have not gone yet so we will see. At least I can sit at the moment so I will pay some bills and catch up on here.
