Thanks, and yes, butt feels better these days :)
We were at the beach today with the kids, and it was great. Drank 1.5 liter water in 2.5 hours btw. Cant risk dehydration, so no beer for me at the moment...

Actually, only rarely have I let my fissure hold me back in doing things, but its much easier to enjoy them when painfree :)
BUT, yes.... Eating and drinking is sooo boring now.

You are doing great JHH. Hope you enjoyed the beach. That salt water should help that monster heal too. Do you feel like the Botox is working well now?! Xxx

Hey 1984 :D Hope you are doing well also!
Well... Does botox work for me?..that is the question!
I would say yes, because I havnt really had any burning since botox. However, I still feel tight down there, and have absolutly no problem getting to the toilet in time, or hold gas, so it might not work as good as supposed.
Besides, before botox I had some good days with hardly any pain, so it might just be the lactulose thats helping me now. Oh yes, Im also still on dilt and nitro :)
I honestly dont know what helps me the most, but if I should pick one item, I would go for lactulose, since its great at keeping my stools at bristol 5-6, and that is a must for me.

Glad the lactulose is helping you! Yes I found the Botox took that awful burn away. I am now living in fear as I am over the 3 month mark... But doing okay at the moment. Hope you get more good days..

Day 47
Another painfree day. Had a very soft bristol 6 BM this morning. It kinda sneaked up on me, and let it self out while I was prelubing. Well at least partially, but hey, rather have a soft one leave a mess on the floor, than a hard one leave a mess in your ass right?!

Im worried to about a hard one, so i wont go without miralax, but in truth, my fissure didnt develop overnight, there are people who get fissures with diarrhea, which is pure liquid, so as long as you keep things from backing up ( like not pooping for two days or even just one day) i would think a little bit firmer is not going to set you back too much as long as it doesnt happen too many times in a row?
