Also, i developed my fissure over several months of rabbit pellets that were hard to pass. They were tiny, but hard. But it took months maybe 2 years? I didnt realize the harm in straining and passing those all the time for so long.

Day 48
Had a painless bristol 5-6 BM, and a painfree day. Went swimming again without issues. Not much drama going on in this thread right now...
- Fissure developed in Jan '13
- Started rectogesic in Feb '13 and diltiazem Apr '13.
- Got botox Jun '13
- Healed by Okt '13, although I still had some irritation for about a year.
- New fissure April '22, healed June 2022
- New fissure 24. December 2023

Swimming in a chlorinated pool? Or ocean? I was afraid a swimming pool would dry the thing out and make it split or something. Im glad u are recovering, ive been watching your thread because your problems started like a month before mine....

Saturday in the ocean, sunday in a chlorinated pool, and today in a lake :)
- Fissure developed in Jan '13
- Started rectogesic in Feb '13 and diltiazem Apr '13.
- Got botox Jun '13
- Healed by Okt '13, although I still had some irritation for about a year.
- New fissure April '22, healed June 2022
- New fissure 24. December 2023

April 2013-Botox-Effective short term
Diltazem-No effect, developed Rash
July 2014-Diagnosed High Resting Pressure
LIS performed on 17.9.14
Ongoing pain/re-tears. Awaiting pressure test results.

Swimming?! I'm well jel. I was considering going swimming soon but scared that a breast stroke motion would cause a split. You having any worried with your strokes J?
