Do you get any abdominal pain or cramps with this random alternating liquid and hard BM?

I’m suffering with the alternating BM being hard or liquid. Last night was a liquid phase and I wasn’t able to sleep. So instead, when it finally stopped at 2 am .... I took a salt bath and cried for an hour. Then I got into bed and fell asleep around 4am only t be woken at 6:30 by my alarm.

Couldn’t make it into work , I’m in too much pain, mentally and emotionally exhausted.....

I had my Botox on 24th of April.

Hi All
Need a bit advice/info
I had my first Botox on Friday and as far as I am aware I also had skin tag removed
I am in more pain than before Botox
Is it normal?
How long does it take for things to settle? I’m on codeine as can’t cope with pain!
Last two days I stopped bleeding but when is the time to go back to the surgeon and question if Botox didn’t make things worse?!
Totally fed up ;-(

Any info would be great!

I’ve felt worse after my procedure as well. The first few weeks are hard. The Botox doesn’t take effect immediately, it took a couple weeks for the spasm to go down.

Bojjbo

First 3 days were tough for me mainly due to the swelling and random pain occurring down there, then things got better. I agree with Moo, skin tag removal can cause more pain compared to Botox alone. Mine was just Botox injection and I can only imagine the pain of skin tag removal on top of that.

I would also suggest stay away from codeine, I will forever have a physiological barrier for codeine because this is what gave me the whole fissure nightmare last year. If you have to take it, drink lots of water and some probiotics to counter the constipating effect. My CRS suggests ibuprofen + paracetamol instead.
Can you call your surgeons room to speak to a nurse just to make sure what you are experiencing is expected?

Thanks for your replies

Today I spoke with surgeon’s Secretary and apparently this pain is normal and it can take more than a week to get better...so I just need to hope...been asked to contact them on Tuesday if no improvement

Ibuprofen and paracetamol didn’t work for me at all hence codeine and some constipation pills, plus lots water.

Wish they could find some magic, painless cure for this painful illness!

Ibuprofen+paracetamol didn’t really help for me either. They also gave me a tube of local anaesthetic in a syringe which i used occasionally. I tried but still couldn’t sleep first two nights because the pain would wake me up even when I’m asleep. We all just need to get through this...
