Thanks guys, I may need to adjust my diet . For the last few days, I also needed to strain to get it out. Not happy :-(. Also I saw blood strike on one side of the stool. This isn’t over for me yet. I know seeing blood definitely means it’s not healed, just don’t know if it’s on the way to heal or I need more aggressive treatment.

Missy, do you remember if you still saw blood and had pain after Botox? Or it disappeared until Botox wears off?

I had good days and bad days but since having my first Botox I had less bad days and the bad days were more likely to be discomfort instead of pain and yep I still sore blood every few days my fissure never healed from the Botox so I still sore blood and had pain or discomfort for the year but what did happen is I went from having a long fissure to having a 2-3 millimetre long fissure so the first Botox must have healed it alot so I'm hoping this last Botox will heal that last little bit. Why don't you take coloxyl/colace or movicol/miralax as a stool softener? Look up paleo diet i think it should be a diet we all live on its all natural foods that people use to eat years ago before we got machines involved or started making fake food in factories the paleo diet is whole foods one ingredient no processing involved.

I’ve been taking Movicol and Coloxyl, they make the second bit of stool soft but not the first bit. I’m eating a relatively healthy diet though, don’t understand why sometimes there is hard tip and sometimes there isn’t, even when I eat the same thing.

I use Dulcolax and it works perfectly. It’s worth a try if you can get it (I’m in uk so not sure if you can get it in different countries)

After taking DULCOLAX, avoid straining while passing a bowel motion.
Dizziness and fainting while straining have been reported in patients who have taken
DULCOLAX. It is not known if DULCOLAX can cause dizziness or fainting.
You may experience blood in the stool while using DULCOLAX. This is generally mild
and self-limiting. Tell your doctor if you notice this and it worries you.
DULCOLAX is recommended for short-term use only. If symptoms persist, seek
medical advice.
Long-term use of DULCOLAX is not recommended. If you use DULCOLAX every
day, you should consult with your doctor to find out the cause of your constipation.
Long-term and excessive use of DULCOLAX may cause an imbalance of salts in the
body (including low potassium), muscle weakness and kidney problems. Loss of
fluids from the body can cause dehydration. Symptoms of dehydration include thirst
and passing less urine than normal. In patients experiencing fluid loss where
dehydration may be harmful (for example, kidney problems, elderly patients)
DULCOLAX should be stopped and only restarted under medical supervision.
Long-term and excessive use may also cause the bowel to become dependent on
DULCOLAX for it to produce a bowel motion.

Missy, I think mine just happens randomly. Having said that, I am now in that time of the month, the week leading up to my period. Very nervous about what tomorrow's BM will be like...not looking forward to it.

Bojjbo so did the miralax/macrogol and the coloxyl/colace not work for you? That's good that you found something that works just keep at what works for you. Vicouscycle just keep trying different stool softeners to find what works for you and see what in your diet is not good for you write a food diary if you need to I did that for about 2 months to learn what didn't work with me. Also give each stool softener about 3 days to give it a fare shot.
