LOL, Missy Moo, I love your analogy of feeling skinny and then feeling fat after stepping on the scale. I just want to say that I think your decreasing pain is the best sign ever and an even better sign than what things look like. With both of my major fissures in the past, the first sign of long-term healing was decreasing pain. That would eventually be followed by less bleeding. I know that's just my experience but I wanted to tell you not to necessarily go by the visual stuff alone. I'm currently in the reverse situation. My fissure looks like it's getting smaller (although there's still blood) but the pain is actually increasing. I think it's the spasms that are getting worse. It's hard to win with these darn fissures.
