I have had issues with Sciatica over the years and it acted up after the surgery, but that is actually quite a bit better right now, though I still get twinges. What is really sore is my neck and no improvement there yet, but working on it.
BUT, I am still so happy every time I have a BM and don't suffer for hours after...lol.

That is indeed something to celebrate! lol.

Okay, so this is not a good thing. I had my surgery in February and it finally seemed healed at the end of April. Since sometime in early May..I am pretty sure I got another fissure, but not nearly as painful, but it is persistent and still bothers me daily(not taking pain meds for it). Now for the last few days, I have been incredibly itchy ...uh..do you say down there or back there....anyway, you know what I mean. So much so that I have been using creams and it is keeping me awake at night. Last night I was able to sleep using an ice pack. Anyone have any idea what is going on and what I should be doing? I am getting pretty worried at this point. I should add that I was recently diagnosed as diabetic and the meds for that do mess up my stomach and often give me diarrhea.

Ugh, so sorry to hear of your relapse! Do you have any of the fissure ointments sill on hand? Itchy can mean healing....I had a phase where I though I was going to lose my mind. Any better today?
