I've been to several doctors even to a gastro and I've had a colonoscopy done and it was clear. The only explanation for my pain is that I have tight muscles so they will relax them with Botox. But who doesn't have tight muscles after having a fissure?

That makes sense. The Botox will do that?

Any side effects that you know of and is it a safe bet?

For me, using the Calmoseptine seems like an irritant. Only the coconut oil doesn't seem to do that, but it also doesn't heal.

Sometimes I think this is a curse. How can it not heal? And you, it healed, but you're still having the pain. I don't get it.

Alyssa,

Haven't heard from you in a bit -- how are things going and are you doing any better?

Sorry to hear that. Doesn't anything work to help alleviate it - at least temporarily?

I'm away in Iowa on business now and I'm using basically the Bacitracin antibiotic and coconut oil. It's a little better pain-wise, but I don't think that I'm actaully healing. Hope I'm wrong and I really am (healing).

Hope you feel better.

I don't tolerate pain very well so even when I have a good day (which is rare) I don't get to enjoy it because I don't know what tomorrow will bring. I just want to have this pain go away and wish that when I wake up each morning its gone but its not...

My pain threshold has been elevated - you could likely saw off one of my legs without any anesthesia and I'd be uncomfortable at worst.

I know the feeling: wake up in the morning, put your feet on the floor and your first thought is 'get ready for the pain'. What a way to start the day - yeah, baby.

Anymore, I just accept it and try to take some simple steps to help it, if possible and then make sure that I'm keeping a consistent and acceptable intake of red wine at night. Alcohol seems to relax the muscle. Pennsylvania does not approve medical marijuana, otherwise I would have already tried it.

Hang in there, find something to help, whatever that something is.

Alyssa,

Haven't seen anything from you, is anything new or different? Feeling any better or holding on for the Botox?

I'm about the same - learning to try and minimize what causes more pain and then managing the pain. Maybe that's the best I can hope for. Using the Nifedipine again and cocnut oil. Maybe Botox is my option? I won't have surgery - not if I have any other choice.

Hope you are better, at least a little

Lee,

I've had 3 good days (pain scale around 3 but during bm 5)... So I'm just counting down to getting Botox since I have no other option. I'm scared but I want to get rid of this pain... And I'm willing to try different options although they are options that I am not comfortable with. Who would have thought that one day I would get Botox but on my ass!?
