I work in a pre school but work with lots of people and we have a toilet in our room which is great! yesterday I only went once and only once today so far it's just a shame last week made the trear sore again it just needs time to settle down again x

Hello can I just ask I'm in the uk we can't get miralax here but we can get movercol are these the same things? Also thinking of getting coconut oil does it really help with healing? Thankyou X

Can't help with the movercol, but I do know quite a lot of people find coconut oil helps with their healing, I used it religiously for 18 months and still will...but for me it never helped with healing just kept the area moisturised. You might be one of the lucky ones that it helps. You could also look into comfrey and oregano and manuka these are all meant to be helpful for healing.

I'm sure it doesn't work for everyone and the healing can take quite a while. But we have to do what we feel is right for our body and every person is different, I felt it was my only option as I will always have crohns and multiple BMs so there is no way mine would heal without surgery.

Hi Katie,

Yes, movicol is the same as mirilax. You can get it from chemists over here. It's very good at keeping bms soft. If you want a generic form of movicol, it's called laxido.

I had a fissurectomy and bottox done nearly 5 weeks ago if anyone else has had one of these could you please let me know how you got on with it many thanks X

I just can't seem to keep my bm soft and I keep tearing!! I think the op I had 5 weeks ago was all for nothing I'm feeling so desperate and sad
