Hi Sweet,
It actually made a difference with my colleagues once they knew what was going on - they would always have a bit of light hearted fun and naturally the cause of the fissure was due to me fiddling with too many saliors down by the docks.....sigh!
Ahh the wedding - i was actually in Tuscany for the weekend before my operation (We are getting married in Tuscany) planning the food, drink, photographer, flowers, castle, etc. So the wedding planning is coming along great thanks, i think apart from the rings and my suit we are all about sorted and just awaiting the big day now. Hopefully the day will be about enjoying ourselves and not about drinking water, BM's, GTN, spasms, avoiding food and generally being miserable!! :D
Are you not teasing me with pizza porn today?

LOL, well, now that you mention it . . . we did order pizza delivered last night. However, I was a good girl and only had one, teensy eensy piece of the delicious, thick, soft-crusted, cheesy, warm pizza.
That oughta do ya for awhile.
Is your wedding day imminent? - I mean, fairly soon? My son is getting married in November - and my big thing is that I want to be able to comfortably drive to the wedding site (it's three hours' north of here) and also dance with my son at the reception. --- There are also the various parties beforehand -- and quite frankly, I'm still in recovery mode and don't want to mess with any of that, just yet.
I'm also supposed to take my mother on a plane trip, at the end of April, and I sure hope I'm pain-free enough to do it. She's elderly, and I can't send her alone.
So, Tuscany . . . it sounds lovely. I'm sure you'll be feeling much, much better by then.

Davo, somehow I put my post to you in the middle of your comments. Don't know how that happened.
I'll see if I can fix that.

SWEET !!!!!!! I am going to have to go for a cold shower now to cool me down.... go easy on the pizza porn please :D
My wedding day is in August so its still quite a while away yet. Your son is getting married in November? Believe me your fissure will be long gone by then and you'll be on that dance floor like John Travolta.
Dont worry about the plane trip, i am flying to Copenhagen two weeks today for an Easter break and to be honest i could quite happily jump on a plane right now.
Thanks for your comments

Davo
I'm not sure Sweet will want dance like John Travolta.
Any more pizza porn and I'll ask the moderators to post you both as 'X Rated'.
Glad to hear you're doing so well and that you can now really look forward to your wedding. If you haven't run off to Pizzahut with Sweet in the meantime. Image

LOL LOL LOL! Too funny, lindwe! lol
The problem with running off to Pizza Hut with Davo is that we both might end up with sore bums again and would useless.
As to my dancing, I'd be happy to just dance with my arms around my son, rather than holding onto my own bottom. I can't very well do that, in front of the wedding guests, lol. Luckily, the song we'll dance to ("Sleepwalk") is a nice, slow one. Still, there might be a dip involved at the end! Let's hope my "end" survives all of that.

Wow Davo, getting married in Tuscany, in a castle no less, sounds amazing!!!! I wish you and your fiance a lifetime of happiness together! I'll be married 20 years this April 4, and honestly, each new year together gets better than the one before! I married the perfect man for me and have a beautiful 19 year old daughter...life is good!!!!
Sweet, congratulations on your son's upcoming wedding! How proud and excited you must be! By that time, I'm sure you'll not only share a memorable mother- and- son dance, as well as an occasion to dance the night away!!!!
Best wishes, Angel

Hi, Angel, and thank you.
I'm almost 8 weeks post-op - and I had a setback a couple of weeks ago, so I'm hoping this dreadful soreness will eventually go away. I want to be able to dance and enjoy myself, just like I used to do.
Wishing you well, too. ---- SB (Carol Ann)

Thanks for sharing the experience with us, Davo. I sure hope it keeps going well for you!!
I can honestly say that after reading this (and laughing-- thanks for the funny bits!) I'm a little jealous! I wish that could be me, almost completely pain-free! You make surgery look great.
