Fissy - I would never blame you in a billion years for posting the video or telling me you looked down there. You just brought up the idea of looking for an infection, and I thought that was a smart thing to do. It was not your fault at all. I actually loved the video - I guess I don't mind stuff like that as long as its not my own butt. I hope you had fun last night!
I have had 2 BM's today. I have taken 1 sitz bath and 2 baths in the big tub. My butt is burning like wild fire. This cut in it is so darn deep - I really don't think it will ever heal. It is huge!!!!!! And it is posterior - so weird - I am gonna kill my doctor when I see him. Then I can see him cry! Both my BM's have been pretty solid despite me taking stool softeners and MOM. I just have not been eatting much and I have been taking the pain pills.
I am thinking about going to my lecture this afternoon. I know that sounds stupied, but it is only two hours long with a break in the middle. I can sit for 2 hours with no problems. Also, my friend said she would drive me and I can lay down along the way. I just think it would do me some good to get out for 2 hours and get my mind off my butt. I am so tired of sitting on this couch looking up butt things on the computer. I am going mad!!!!! I am not having much pain, just the stinging after BM's and hopefully I am done with those for today.
I love you guys really - I can always count on you to make me feel better!

its totally up to you, but I was 4 days out of my op and thought I was fine and went shopping - and nearly fainted - poor hubby had to almost carry me back to the car.
I'm so glad you feel able to go out, thats wonderful!!

Have you heard anything from your doctor? I don't know about sitting in class yet, but it's your call if you feel like it would do you some good to get your mind off of this but you might want to take advantage of having the day to yourself and rest. I wouldn't think compressing the area would be a good idea but I know you are going stir crazy worrying about this and it is harder when you are alone at home with your thoughts racing through your head!

i wouldn't go to class so soon after surgery. have your husband go rent you a movie or something and just relax. i watched the entire series of sex and the city after my surgery! enjoy this time where you don't have to do anything and can make everyone wait on you. hehe. oh, and stop looking on the internet (aside from this site of course)!!! it'll just make you more anxious.

I'd start taking 1000mg of magnesium wo/ calcium tonight if I were you. stool softeners have never done a thing for me but mag has always done the trick.
also, I rarely look at my butt, hough I was curious after surgery and ti was swollen, not oozing, but swollen. I have two tags and my rear is just not as cute as it used to be. Let's just say, I'd never be asked to be in a porno.

I did go to school and I had fun. I deffinatly did not think about my butt that much while I was there. It was nice to go and talk to people. I enjoyed not thinking about my anus for a couple hours.
I still can not get ahold of the appointment clerks at the docs office. They have not called me back in 2 days.
Juney - I am enjoying this! My hubby is spoiling me. I love helping out with my baby - but it is so nice now that I am not changing dirty diapers.
BG - How do you think the mag compares with the MOM - does it do the same thing to the poo? I have been thinking about trying it for a while now. I did not see it at the grocery store the last time I went.

I take Mg 250 mg now !!! It works very well for me ! I take one tablet after breakfast and one after the dinner and poop is soft and nice - I wish I tried it before. I get it even softer if I take Mg and L-Glutamine together - have no idea why is that since glutamine is just an amino acid - I guess my guts are just weird as always. It made it so soft that I actually had to stop L-Glutamine and it took me a while to detect that it was a culprit - it was last thing I eliminated - just crazy !!!!
