Ok so my second op is in 2 days time for another round of Botox and banding. I'm getting no main on my bms with no blood that I can see but the pain after is unbearable. I went on a very short 5 minute walk after work to meet a friend but it felt my sphincter was like sandpaper. Almost like acid was round the rim???!! It couldn't be more micro fissures as surely that would mean my bms would hurt? I don't know what to ask my crs Friday as for once I haven't got the faintest why I'm Still hurting

Spasms. I find they can feel like burning. If your BM comes out without pain that likely means healing but the sphincter is still free to spasm. It is an adapted response to having ongoing pain down there. It can take a long time for the nerves to settle down again even after healing, and the nerves drive the muscles. That's my take on it anyway...Best of luck with your next procedure. My fingers are crossed that you will get some good news (re:healing status). Let us know how it goes...

I think my bum knows what's coming tomorrow. I've got a horrible itch at 1pm right on the scar tissue. Trying to calm it with sudocrem. Must try to get some sleep, night everyone. X

Ok I'm out!! it took 2 hours in theatre but I woke up to my surgeon telling me a strange story...

Apparently, my fissures have HEALED. Not sure what to make of that!! He said he found a lot of fused scar tissue what was causing a stricture which he has cut away but said there was no need for Botox so didn't do it. I really don't know what to make of all this but I'm in quite a bit of pain but I'm home.

Seeing him again in 3 months but will keep you all posted. It feels like its great news he said it's healed but im a bit sad he didn't do the botox, but maybe it was for the best if I just didn't need it. I'm so glad he's got rid of that horrid scar tissue.

Do you know what caused the scar tissue? Great news that he has cut it away, and hopefully that will make a big difference to you going forward.

And a big congrats on getting through today!

He said it was from multiple chronic fissures and from my hemmis being banded. All the Fiberous scar fissure joined causing all the pain x

Congratulations on getting through that again! Wow, that must have been a lot of scar tissue. Hopefully he has set you on the full road to recovery now.
