Oh trust me it's really hard there are days when I have had to go home crying.
Well the 2 hours of sitting was very painful, but when I woke up this morning the bruised feeling had gone so that's good. Had to take my daughter to train station this morning and obviously about ten mins before we were due to leave I felt I would need the toilet soon...so I had to force myself to go...I wasn't actually constipated just knew I couldn't be sat in traffic needing the loo...so I did have to strain a bit...there was a bit of stinging but it went after a couple of hours. I now believe that as long as I don't have multiple BMs that I will be ok. Which is a point I wasn't sure I would get too.
Still think that I will have to be very careful for the rest of my life as I'm sure if I was to end up going more than 2 or 3 times a day then I would be in pain. But 6 weeks ago I thought I would never eat anything ever again so this is huge progress for me. Just hope the new meds continue to work as well as they are doing now.

Well my bowel has gone nuts and I have been 6x in just over 2 hours....in serious pain about a 7/8 but not at a 10 yet which is what it went up to the last time this happened.
Am I meant to see this as progress or do I resign myself to a life of bread meat and black tea....because my bowel plainly cannot be trusted.
Oh well let's hope that's me done coz if I have to go again tonight I think I will cry....stupid lemonade....stupid colon ggggrrrr :x

Thanks Mr F,
Unfortunately my bowel has now decided not to work at all for 3 days so I'm left dreading what my next BM will be like...how difficult is it to go once a day like the rest of my family and friends do...but noooo not me it's 8x in 3 hours or nothing for days.
I haven't taken any of my crohns meds today now just I case they are having an impact on things, how am I meant to balance diet and meds and a very moody colon.

I know the feeling, Mpb (though not quite to your extremes)!
I seem to manage to put a few decent '1-a-day's' together and start to feel like maybe I can crack this...then always seem to hit a spell like I'm 'enjoying' now to dash my hopes; 2 or 3 x a day for 4 or 5 days, and consequently feel wrecked again... :verysad:

So, so tough, mentally.

Hang tight mpb, at least on here you know you're not alone in your struggles...

Yes it does help to know I'm not alone with my abnormal toilet habits.
It is so frustrating I also managed quiet a number of good days in a row and even managed to be able to leave the GTN alone for about 5 days but like you it never lasts sooooo not fair.
Well I'm sure if it's an horrendous BM I will be on here crying about the whole experience.

Well I had a BM yesterday and was about a Bristol 3 but....drum roll...I went to the toilet at work and I had to use toilet paper which I dampen with water...and I had no proper pain, yes there was a bit of burning but not pain and the burning only lasted an hour. I just wish I could never have loose BMs again and I know I would be fine.
